You can always count on Deion Sanders to hype up his kids. The Buffs are all set to take the stage. Coach Prime has completely changed the team altogether. With new offensive linemen and Pat Shurmur as the offense coordinator for the team, Deion has left no stone unturned to protect his son Shedeur Sanders on the field. However, while Deion has shown a lot of promise when it comes to revitalizing the Buffs, there’s another aspect to him that people often tend to forget. He has been a king of marketing himself and his son Shedeur is following on his dad’s path perfectly.
Coach Prime took to Instagram on August 21st to share a glimpse of a new lineup of headphones from Beats by DRE. The video brings us to Shedeur posing with the headphones in the Buffs locker room. The gold and black headsets are a stark reminder of the Buffs’ outfit. Deion had a religious reaction while sharing his son’s achievement. He wrote in the caption, “God is Good”. Beats was long back acquired by Apple for around $3 billion and the company has been going steady ever since. Also, Beats by DRE and Shedeur go long back. In 2021, we saw Shedeur becoming the first college ambassador for the brand. Back then, the QB and his dad were still at Jackson State. “I remember getting my first pair of Beats, so this feels full circle,” Shedeur had noted in an interview while talking about the entire deal.

Even back in 2023, we saw the young QB give his entire team matching headphones. In a video by Well Off Media, we found Shedeur dripping out of the team before their game against Memphis. “We gotta look the same,” Sheduer was spotted saying before he handed out $300 Beats headphones to the boys on the team. This NIL deal has stuck around with Shedeur since the start of his journey to become the No.1 QB. While the young QB continues to enjoy his new headphones, we really gotta talk about some aspects of NILs that Shedeur really needs to keep in mind.
Precaution for Deion and Shedeur
The entire Jaden Rashada and Billy Napier scene has become synonymous with NIL deal ambiguity. While the lawsuit continues, Carl Reed Jr on Unfiltered talked about some key points that Shedeur needs to keep in mind. With a NIL valuation of around $4.7 million, Shedeur is one of the highest-paid players in college football. Reed had one major point during his discussion of NIL deals. “Specific details should be written all out in your contract,” Reed noted. His take was that any kid should make sure that all the details regarding the deal are written upfront, and that there is no hidden stuff. This helps in keeping everything clear and there are no fake promises made.
Another aspect that Reed pointed out was that kids must grab an agent to help out with their NIL deals. This allows the player to understand where his money is going to come from. Whether it is the NIL collective or some other third-party organization. Keeping such things transparent from day one would allow players like Shedeur to have proper leverage over their deals. Let’s hope the No.1 QB keeps these in mind.
