Shedeur Sanders: Overrated or proving the doubters wrong with his stellar performance against Arizona?

Everything has been on point for Shedeur Sanders and Co. Our biggest fears of the offensive line and the defensive line underperforming have been proven wrong as the Buffs are giving the Wildcats quite the thrashing. Standing on 28-7 in the second quarter, Shedeur Sanders and Co. have been dominating the turf. The guy so many had called “overrated” is now running riots in Arizona, and there is no stopping him. Deion Sanders has to be proud of what Shedeur has managed to do in the Kansas State game and now the Arizona game. However, can you guess who is more happy with the QB’s domination?

Deion Sanders’ ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, is hyperventilating on X, but not for the wrong reason.”TOUCHDOWN GO SON !! Go @ShedeurSanders,” Pilar wrote in her latest post. She is da-n proud, and rightfully so. Shedeur has already managed to rack up 2 touchdowns along with 1 interception. That ain’t all. Dude has been on point with his passes with 15-21 landed and 173 yards covered. “So yes that’s how we take of each other! GO OFFENSE GO DEFENSE,” Pilar mentioned in a follow-up post.

As Matt McChesney pointed out long ago, if Shedeur doesn’t have to think about doing everything on that turf, then he can do anything on that turf. The o-line and D-line are the cream of the crop for this game, with on-point protections and interceptions for the team. The Wildcats have barely had any room to make big plays, and when they did launch the football high up, the defense managed to intercept it with ease.

BUT. If we gonna mention the good, we gotta mention the bad as well. Sometimes it feels like Shedeur is allergic to an easy win. With boys almost near the endzone, the entire exchange between the Wildcats and the Buffs was hilarious.

Shedeur dropped the football multiple times, and the Wildcats got possession of it. Now, here comes the kicker, while the Wildcats did have possession they managed to turnover it to the Buffs again. It’s like a cat-and-mouse chase on that turf, but Shedeur and Co. are still coming out on top. But there is one slight problem.

Injury woes for Deion Sanders and Co.

Early into the game, we spotted TE Sam Hart being escorted out of the turf by Shedeur Sanders. There was a high possibility that Hart had sustained a right ankle injury during the game, as he was spotted limping on his left leg. Everyone would be really happy if the problems had stopped there but no.

Right now, we just got the update that Travis Hunter has been pulled out (preventive measure) because he aggravated his shoulder injury. Back against Kansas State, Hunter was sidelined after a massive shoulder injury, and he had to sit out for the rest of the game. In this game, he has managed to play 54 snaps (41 on offense and 13 on defense). It is a good call to pull Hunter out. The Buffs are in a solid spot, and the current WR depth will easily carry the rest of the game. Our Heisman prospect needs rest.
