The Colorado Buffaloes’s 2024 season is much more than their newly whipped-up strategies and freshly minted defense and offense lineups. Buffs HC Deion Sanders knows how to keep the fans on the edge of their seats. While there is still some time for the fans to witness their rage this season, Coach Prime is making their hearts skip a beat by revealing the new jersey.
And it’s the Buffs QB Shedeur Sanders who did the honors by giving a sneak peek of the latest game-day garb, Nike’s Big 12 Jersey on his Instagram story. However, much before Shedeur, it was the Colorado DE who spilled the secrets about the uniform revamp.

With less than a week left for Colorado to hit the field against North Dakota State, fans are glued to the Buffs’ social media. August 23 had been going all dull for the Buffs fans until Shedeur decided to make their day. The Buffs QB dropped a selfie on his IG story. And BOOM! It was enough to skyrocket the excitement. He revealed the Buffs’ fresh threads that fans had been practically holding their breath for. The selfie revealed two things- the “XII” patch and the Nike Symbol in white embossed over their signature black and gold jersey.
The Big 12 patch is something very special for Deion Sanders and company. It traces Colorado’s journey from being a part of Pac-12 last season and now that the conference has dissolved, they have made their return to the Big 12. While Coach Prime had a hand in tweaking the uniforms for the 2024 kickoff, not just jerseys, he and his staff will wear custom-designed headsets. What propelled him to make the changes? The belief, “The motto is you look good, you feel good, consequently they play good. That’s what we’re aiming for.” However, Shedeur is late to the party, as DE Arden Walker was the first one to drop the hints.

In February, while fans were still buzzing with Nike’s anticipated re-release of the Deions’ Diamond Turf line, hardly did they expect the $31.3 billion brand to drop new gears for the Buffs. And here entered Walker who revealed to DNVR that he caught sight of the initial designs. By chance, the DE happened to be in the CU’s equipment room when the designs were going around.
