College football season is on a tear with teams picking up momentum to topple each other in an intense week 8. But elsewhere in the football world (NFL), Las Vegas Raiders is pegging away to fix their poor winning stats. The 2-5 Raiders after their humiliating 20-15 loss to the Los Angeles Rams have been juggling between the thoughts of tanking or not tanking the season to gain a better Draft pick next season. While the first would leave a scar on their overall team goodwill, the latter would be a setback in dissolving the QB fragility. While the popular voices advocate for $118 Million Ryan Tannehill’s addition as the QB1, Zach Gelb, the rousing football analyst sees a better alternative in Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
The QB situation is not foreign to the Raiders. Even before Aidan O’Connell had to leave the field with a thumb injury last Sunday, and even before Gardner Minshew II, who was benched a few weeks back for putting on a horrible performance, repeated his errors in another terrible show against the Rams, the quarterback crisis was always a theme of Pierce’s squad. The recent losses just pushed them to a desperation button to come to a quick fix for a better 2025. For that matter, Zach Gelb said, ‘Quarterbacks for the upcoming year are Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward, I would feel comfortable using an early first round pick on Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, but right now I wouldn’t use that pick on Quinn Ewers, Carson Beck or Jalen Milroe.’‘ whom the Raiders can rely on.

However, this is not the first time Shedeur is named as a potential savior for a struggling Raiders offense. CBS Sports HQ analyst Todd Fuhrman has already suggested the team officials to follow a few steps to bring the legendary Coach Prime blood to the mix. The steps in question: ‘‘1) tank to go 2-15 2) draft Shedeur Sanders 3) hire Deion as head coach 4) create buzz and become relevant again.” But the most important thing to consider here is how Deion Sanders perceives the same.
Deion Sanders seems pretty particular about Shedeur Sanders’ future destination.
Coach Prime is anything but a hype dad who blindly puts his sons over everything. Although the typical naysayers got some point to corner him with the nepotism charges, Sanders doesn’t seem to pay any heed. Even when Shedeur Sanders brought out his best on the field, we saw the Coach Prime being a typical dad pinpointing the small issues in an attempt to keep his son’s ego in check. This is Deion Sanders for you, for us. Regardless, when it comes to protecting his sons from the harmful mayhem of the CFB, Coach Dad becomes non-compromising.

The 22-year-old prodigy, who dealt with a slew of controversies in the recent past, holds an above-average record with 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. For the season, the Colorado Buffs QB finished 72.2% of his passes for 2,268 yards and 19 touchdowns through Week 8. With the next NFL draft season knocking at the door, Deion Sanders, however, wants a hustle-free ride for his son. He would like Shedeur to land under such a coach who is comparatively young and focused on teaching the players over any robotic professional who lacks basic empathy.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Shedeur Sanders the savior the Raiders desperately need, or just another overhyped prospect?

To add to the odds of the Raiders’ taking the Colorado QB in, Coach Prime seemed to give a nod to the idea in one of his past interviews. He gave coach Antonio his flowers for his dedication and hard work while noting it would be nice for Shedeur to play for the Raiders.
