They say bad times bring a team together. Well, the Buffs don’t do that. Deion Sanders’ army has each other’s back no matter what. Shedeur Sanders just proved it again. Colorado Buffaloes crushed the UCF Knights on September 28. Right after the game as fans basked in Travis Hunter’s glory a Knights fan chose to strip off the Buffs dual-threat out of sheer rivalry.
But again there are good fans too who dropped in to flip the narrative and give kudos to Hunter. This has been enough to woo Buffs QB Shedeur Sanders who came up with a one-word reply. That’s college football guys! A few days back it was the same Hunter who got furious at Shedeur during the Baylor match-up.
Social media posts and re-posts after any game determine how thrilling it has been. And there are no doubts that Saturday’s 48-21 score has left the fans at the edge of their seats. Now it was time for them to unleash their fury on X. Shedeur Sanders dropped to add fire in to support of dear mate Hunter with “💯.” But what’s the hoopla all about?

🤣🤣 no those are facts. Ain’t no hater. We lost next opponent. Give respect to him and his team. Trust me no one is more hurt about that loss than the people who suited up on that field! https://t.co/6Ds9Y93Y3q
— Kobe “Kfizzy” Hudson (@kfizzzy) September 29, 2024
Right after the game, UCF WR Kobe Hudson posted a picture of Travis Hunter with the caption, “He the best player in the world.” But things were already hot then as a Knight fan took offense at Hudson singing Buffs’ two-way star’s praise and straightaway came with “This is loser energy.” But again college fans keeping their emotions aside are the best at appreciating real talent.
So another fan, despite his UCF tag had to pitch to safeguard Hunter. He retweeted with the caption. “no those are facts. Ain’t no hater. We lost next opponent. Give respect to him and his team. Trust me no one is more hurt about that loss than the people who suited up on that field!” This somehow came to Shedeur’s attention, and the QB thought the best way to show support for the two-way star was by responding with a single word or maybe just an emoji after seeing what the fan had shared. But do you remember how Shedeur became the reason for Hunter’s angst during a live game recently?

Have an interesting take?
On September 21, already pressure loomed around the Buffs to break the 14-year-old hiatus against Baylor Bear. And all throughout the game, they hardly had time to catch a breath, so close was the competition. It was very natural for any player to lose his cool. And there came Hunter. With only five minutes left for the third quarter to end, the two-way star was spotted near the sideline. But not in his usual chirpy mood.
He looked all red with frustration, letting out his anger, removing his helmet, and shouting the F-word. And the reason behind his sudden meltdown was none other than Shedeur. The Buffs were standing at a point when other than team play all roads were closed to beat the Bears. But Shedeur being Shedeur thought of doing things himself.
Instead of passing the ball, he went all by himself only to cost Deion Sanders’ squad points which they were definitely not in a position to lose at such a crucial moment. Yes, that’s exactly what the rivals wanted. And how could Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders hand the haters the key? They immediately worked on their bonds and we all know what happened next. The unforgettable Hail Mary Pass!
