This season is almost done and we are down to just two games to crown this year’s champs. While teams like Ohio State and Texas are sweating bullets in the semis, others are already locked in on recruiting and the NFL Draft. That’s where Shedeur Sanders comes in. His NFL future is probably more dramatic than the entire Buffs’ 9-4 season. Everyone expects him to be a top pick, maybe even the first QB off the board, but what if this expectation intimidates him?
Here’s the thing: The Titans, Browns, and Pats entered Sunday with a chance of having the top pick. The scenario was that the Titans needed to fall to the Texans (which they did, 14-23) and the Patriots would have to defeat the Bills (also something that happened, 23-16). However, the Pats would have claimed the top spot had they lost. Owing to their victory, they fell to the fourth pick in the draft.
- Tennessee Titans: 3-14 record; .522 strength of schedule
- Cleveland Browns: 3-14 record; .536 strength of schedule
- New York Giants: 3-14 record; .554 strength of schedule
- New England Patriots: 4-13 record; .471 strength of schedule
- Jacksonville Jaguars: 4-13 record; .478 strength of schedule

Wow, the draft is suddenly a lot more intriguing. Now this surely puts an end to Shedeur Sanders and Coach Prime’s hopes of landing him with the Raiders, as they’re now out of the top five teams in the NFL Draft.
The Raiders now sit at No. 6 in the draft, making it less likely they’ll snag Shedeur Sanders. When Deion Sanders Jr. asked his brother about it, Shedeur’s response was classic calm and confidence:
“What’s meant to happen is going to happen. You know, I don’t feel like god would ever put me in a place I am not supposed to go. We made it everywhere, we have gone and been successful. I’m not paying attention to people… they’re gonna try to degrade you, and, they’re gonna try to paint a different picture of you all types of stuff. But anyways, I’m happy of the order and whatever happens, happens.”

However, there is something that Shedeur Sanders should consider before joining hands with the Titans: their GM, Ran Carthon, is no longer part of the team. And even if that doesn’t sound alarming to Shedeur, Coach Prime looks quite surprised by this sudden change. With the Titans ͏now holding the top draft pick, they have a chance ͏to change their franchise’s trajectory significantly.
This sudden change could definitely impact Shedeur Sanders, Deion Sanders’ son. Coach Prime wasn’t subtle with his reaction. He tweeted “WOW” with those wide-eyed emojis after the Titans announced they fired Carthon. So, is Carthon’s firing a deal breaker for Shedeur, or is Coach Prime considering other factors?

Well, there is no one more excited than Deion Sanders for his son’s NFL future. Since the buzz around the pro league started, he was the one to come up with a bold remark, saying he was sure that Shedeur Sanders would be the No. 1 draft pick. Deion Sanders, with his experience and insights, has a strong influence on his kids’ lives and careers.
We all know Coach Prime had his eyes on Shedeur and Shilo landing with the Raiders, but with Antonio Pierce out, that dream’s officially dead. Analyst Skip Bayless stirred the pot, claiming Deion Sanders won’t let Shedeur land with the Tennessee Titans. “It just feels to me like Deion will finally convince Tennessee: No way is my son playing for you,” Bayless said. “Tennessee will opt for Cam Ward with the first overall pick – regrettably on their part, reluctantly on their part, and leave Shedeur for the Giants, not for Cleveland,” he added.
While Coach Prime has repeatedly denied meddling in his sons’ NFL futures, the New York spotlight is undeniably appealing. But let’s be real—does Shedeur Sanders need NYC to shine? With his skills and the Sanders name, he has already got the fame, the buzz, and the opportunities. For Shedeur, it’s all about hitting the field and making plays. The rest comes naturally.

Still, Bayless isn’t buying it. He compared Deion Sanders and Shedeur’s potential power move to Archie Manning, steering Eli away from the Chargers back in the day. Sure, the Mannings pulled it off, but would Coach Prime really put New York over Shedeur’s shot at being a first-round pick?
