We’re one week away from the end of the regular season and the 2025 NFL Draft is a poker game with a big shakeup in order, intrigue swirling like a New York winter storm. Sitting at the top of the draft board is a team staring down a decision that could define their franchise for the next decade. It’s no secret that the NY Giants are quarterback hunting after releasing Daniel Jones mid-season and the genuine drama continues. Shedeur Sanders is already making headlines ahead of the Alamo Bowl matchup with his usual swagger, but little does he know he has a Hurricane coming his way from Miami. like it’s fourth-and-goal with the game on the line.

The Giants fanbase is as divided as a Thanksgiving dinner when politics hit the table. A poll conducted by Talkin’ Giants on X captured the frenzy. Although, the picture remains unclear, what’s clear is the New York Giants currently hold the coveted No. 1 pick with a 2-13 mark. Out of nearly 20,000 fans who chimed in, 47.9% wanted Shedeur Sanders, while 30.5% favored the Canes Cam Ward. The rest leaned toward trading back or selecting the best non-quarterback available, but the overwhelming consensus was clear: Big Blue needs a quarterback, a demand of 78.4% of Giants. The team hasn’t had a franchise QB since Eli Manning. The debate isn’t just about skill; it’s about who can handle the glare of the New York spotlight and become the next face of a franchise desperate for stability.

Colorado Buffaloes’ No.1 gun-slinger Shedeur Sanders hasn’t been shy about his NFL aspirations. The son of Deion Sanders has dazzled with pinpoint accuracy, quick decision-making, and a football IQ well beyond his years. But if confidence alone could secure the top spot, he wouldn’t have to worry about the other storm brewing. Miami Hurricanes QB1, Cam Ward enters the chat, with many scouts salivating over his ceiling, despite needing to refine certain aspects of his game. Shedeur’s got the timing and accuracy, but Ward’s got the raw, moldable traits you just can’t teach.

But the Giants aren’t the only team with skin in this game. And the Raiders shuffled the deck with their Sunday’s win over the Jaguars, which saw their No. 1 pick chances snatched away. The Patriots and Jaguars, holding the second and third picks, aren’t likely to disrupt the passer’s race, given their investments in Drake Maye and Trevor Lawrence. The Titans, Raiders, and Browns, however, are circling like sharks, ready to pounce if the Giants make a surprising choice. Sports Illustrated suggested that Mark Davis and the Raiders might be the most logical landing spot for Shedeur Sanders if the Giants roll the dice on Ward. If you’re betting big, go with the higher ceiling.

What we think is the shakeup in the draft order changes the standard stigma too. Sorry, Deion Sanders, Shedeur could go later at No. 4 to the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee coach Brian Callahan, who honed his craft with Joe Burrow, has reportedly been enamored with Sanders’ poise, timing, and accuracy. Sanders may not have the rocket arm of Ward, but his ability to pick defenses apart with precision is reminiscent of Burrow’s style. The Titans could snag Buffs #2, allowing them to use their second-round pick to upgrade offensive weapons and build around their new QB.

What’s your perspective on:

Giants fans, is Shedeur Sanders the next Eli Manning, or should Big Blue gamble on Cam Ward?

Shedeur Sanders ready to flex Nike’s Christmas gift

If you ask Shedeur Sanders about all the draft buzz swirling around him, he and the legendary shoe maker are ready to roll with it. The Colorado Buffaloes star has been grabbing headlines ahead of his Bowl game, and it’s not just for his skills on the field. In a clip shared by Well Off Media, Shedeur showed off his swagger—complete with custom Nike cleats—and dropped a hint about his NFL future. Oh, and he didn’t shy away from aiming high, suggesting he could very well be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Of course, his brother and Buffaloes safety, Shilo Sanders, wasn’t about to let him have the last word without a bit of brotherly banter. When Shedeur confidently declared, “We know where we’re going, baby. You’ll see them in the cleats later on this week,” Shilo playfully shot back, “You don’t know where you’re going… the team might trade up.” You could assume Shilo is amongst that 16.3%, who voted for a trade-up in the poll. Without missing a beat, Shedeur, in full QB1 mode, responded, “You can’t get higher than one.”
