Shedeur Sanders is sure an ambitious man like his father. Now, Deion Sanders has built quite an empire with his many flashy collabs, continuing to enjoy the high life with his $45 million net worth. One of his recent eye-grabbing moves was launching his ‘legacy sneakers.’
Deion has been releasing sneakers and cleats with Nike since his days as a star cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys. This partnership began in the ’90s and has led to multiple versions of his classic sneakers being released over the years. But Shedeur isn’t ready to follow his dad’s footsteps blindly. He might sprinkle his own touch though!
On the August 27th episode of the ‘2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders’ podcast, his brother Deion Sanders Jr. asked Shedeur an interesting question: “Dad has his own cleats, the legendary DT 96, and I think there’s 93. Just different variations. Would you want to build on that cleat, or would you want to make your own?” And Shedeur quickly responded, “I would want to build on it… have like a different version.”

For Shedeur, this is “generational stuff,” and he definitely wants to carry forward Coach Prime’s legacy—but with his own spin. By the time Shedeur is ready to launch his own line of shoes, he’ll likely have played for a few NFL teams, adding his own legacy to Deion’s. As Shedeur puts it, “I feel like when it comes to design and anything like that, it always has to have a great story behind it.”

Shedeur Sanders steals Nike sneakers
Since the former Cowboys legend became head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, he’s been busy launching sneakers in the team’s colors. This September, fans are in for a treat with three new releases. Two of them are from the ‘Colorado Away’ collection—one in classic black and white and the other in white and gold. There’s also a ‘Colorado Home’ edition in Vegas, gold and black. All three Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ’96 sneakers are already making waves online soon. However, one of these sneakers started gaining attention early last month itself. Well, thanks to Deion Sanders Jr. and Shedeur Sanders.

In July, Bucky posted an Instagram pic wearing the white and gold colorway and even spilled some tea in the caption: “Shedeur took these shoes from your office, and I stole them from him.” Shedeur Sanders demanded them back, but their dad simply responded with a laugh, “Lolololol.” It’s clear that both Sanders brothers have their eyes on the latest launches, and they might even get their sample pieces, as the whole Sanders clan is rumored to be starring in a Nike commercial for this release.
With these new kicks and the upcoming Big 12 matchups, there’s plenty for Buffs fans to keep an eye on this season.
