No matter how much brand value just the name Deion Sanders holds in the mix of college football, he will always be a mumma’s boy, even in his late fifties. Connie Knight has been the cornerstone behind his son’s sensational success on the gridiron. From doing the laundry on time and preparing the meals to driving six hours just to attend Sanders games, his alpha mother did everything to support the kid with a rainbow dream in his eyes. The hustle of a single mother has been written everywhere in every brick of Sanders’ $45 million coaching legacy. The Hall of Famer doesn’t ever forget to pay sincere gratitude for whatever the lady has done for him in every way possible.

Coach Prime is clearly paying back the favor as a son. It might sound a bit, but there is no other way to put into words a son’s devotion to his mother to take him on a beautiful yet adventurous outing just to let her enjoy the serenity of his world.

After a hectic season end, Coach Prime is currently unloading some stress, having quality time in nature and, most notably, with his mamma by his side. A very tranquil property called Lake Prime has been the favorite fishing spot of Deion. Now, he is taking his mama to watch the beauty. Sanders is a fitness freak, and how could you expect his mom to be a soft doll? Well, she is still capable at 69, as Sanders penned down beautifully, ‘‘Me & Ma @mommaconnie21 just walked from the house to this point pictured by #LakePrime. I wanted her to see how beautiful this view is and how peaceful it is outside. She moaned & groaned, but we made it a half of mile which was tremendous for her. She’s fussing & cussing, but this is a moment I will cherish and I’m getting the side-by-side to take her back because she ain’t having it. I still will take my mama vs yo mama in the 40 right now. 65 & over, we got this. Ma deep in the 70s but I Believe! #ProudSon #Ft.Myers..”

Sanders has his mother on his toes, but quite gracefully so. From a very tender age, Sanders has this urge to give his mum every happiness in this world packed in an envelope. He is still in that pursuit, both emotionally and financially. But the exact moment when he knew he could do that has been etched in his memory perpetually.

Does Deion Sanders' story redefine what it means to be a 'mama's boy' in sports?

After a tumultuous second campaign with the Buffs, Sanders had some time to look back at his storied journey to the helm of the coaching and overall athletic career. Speaking to the Late Show with Stephan Colber, Coach Prime took a trip down memory lane, recalling his draft day back in 1989. Sanders, as a kid, saw many hurdles in life, and money became a pivotal point of all the solutions. When he got drafted by the Atlanta Falcons as a standout, Cornerback from Florida State, it marked a watershed moment in his financial flash.

Addressing the surreal feeling, Sanders said, ”We weren’t going to be broke no more and my mother would not have to work another day of her life and life would never be the same, that’s what I remembered.” Being money-minded looks good when it carries a son’s urge to give his mother all the comfort she deserves. ‘‘It was never about the money, it was about being the greatest and being dominant, you don’t ever have to chase money when you perfect your craft,” Sanders explained his true motive behind the draft break. Coach Prime-like aura shines out in such a confession, but for the mother, a son can chase money and feel no guilt.

Sanders’s relief has perfectly been backed up by the constant growth in his alone. He joined the 49ers and played one season before signing a top-notch ($35 million and a $12,99 million as a bonus) seven-year contract with Cowboys. The legacy followed and the stumbling boy gradually becomes a money magnet in a beautiful turn of the wheel of fortune and stubborn hard work. The rest of the story is nothing short of a fairytale, not of a prince and princes, but of a mother and son!
