You can already feel the heat when it comes to the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders, don’t you? The Buffs QB’s draft stocks, initially, had hit the top gear. But as the days went by, Shedeur’s stocks were put into reverse gear. It had hit a nose dive. So much so, that The Athletic analyst Nick Baumgardner stated in his mock draft that Deion Sanders’ son can go as the No.28 overall pick.

Now this must have already put Shedeur in a mode of sheer shock. Here comes some good news as another analyst urges a $7.3 billion NFL giant to pursue the Buffs’ QB hard. Meanwhile, when Coach Prime was expected to be pampering his sons who are flying off to the NFL, he came up with his tough love admission.

How Shedeur Sanders fits in the New York Giants puzzle

Shedeur has made it a practice to think highly of himself, even when the world around him turned its back. For instance, the ESPN analyst, Field Yates, came with a blow when in his mock draft the Buffs QB was projected to land with Las Vegas Raiders at No.6. Then came Shedeur’s immediate reaction to it, “That’s cap, bruh. I ain’t going sixth.” But gradually, things got tougher for the QB when NFL Scouts claimed to have found “red flags” in him. The reason? His off-field shenanigans – rapping and watch flex. However, right now New York Giants are found to be showing some sincere interest to land Shedeur. Sadly, the Buffs QB is not their only target. But analyst RJ Young urges them to seal a deal with Deion’s son.

Going by the buzz, Giants HC Brian Daboll will make every effort to land either Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson from the free agency. After that, they will be drafting Shedeur. However, Young wants the Giants to make the Buffs QB the priority. Now come on, Rodgers is 41 years old while Wilson is 36. It’s high time that New York thinks of the future.

On the 18 March episode of The Number One College Football Show, host Young exposed the harsh reality to the Giants. “[Rodgers] is 41-years-old and that ain’t Tom Brady out there. That is a guy who is inviting all sorts of attention to your franchise – which might be something you want.” Now what made Young give them the ‘attention-monger’ tag?

They drafted Saquon Barkley but later failed to keep him. He then ended up with the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 NFL offseason winning the Super Bowl. Then came their decision to draft Duke Blue Devils’ Daniel Jones who was selected by New York as the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Young thought of sprinkling some salt on their old wounds. “You’re the kind of franchise that takes Daniel Jones at number six when couldn’t anybody wrap their head around that one and you look like ‘we were right’.” In that way, Shedeur stands the golden chance to land with Daboll’s army.

“It’s also Shedeur Sanders is bringing attention to your franchise. Shedeur Sanders is bringing star power to your franchise and it’s the kind you want.” The Buffs QB now holds the first position in Colorado’s single-season passing yards (4,134) 1st in Colorado’s single-season completion percentage (74.0%) and so on. Meanwhile, how is Deion feeling at the moment?

No more exhausting balancing act for Deion Sanders

Well, the Alamo Bowl did bring up a riot of emotions within the father of 5. After all, the time has come for his boys, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders to leave his nest. After the last walk, Deion went all emotional. “That’s tough, to know that that’s it, that that walk won’t happen again. That’s tough. We’ve been doing this for a long time.” However, he came up with a challenge to himself. “I’ve gotta get it together, I’ve got to coach.” Looks like, the coach is not allowing his emotions to rule over him.

Contrary to the Buffs HC being that possessive father, he now feels all relieved. “I love it because I only have to wear one hat, and you don’t understand how much I appreciate that.” Now come on, it’s extra pressure on Deion when he is playing the dual role of a dad and a coach at the same time. Too much of a task, isn’t it? Coach Prime further elaborated, “When you’re a dad and a coach, you’re wearing two hats. You coach your b— off, but naturally, you’re making sure your kids are alright at the same time, simultaneously.”

His sons are going to manage themselves in the pro league. For now, Deion Sanders has to figure out his own stuff. For instance, there lies a QB dilemma in Boulder for the QB1 spot between the trio- Kaidon Salter, Julian Lewis, and Ryan Staub. While the Buffs HC looks for the best replacement for Shedeur, he will have his eyes fixed on his son’s journey in the NFL.
