Ryan Day has been on the hot seat for Ohio State‘s brutal Michigan loss this year. The Buckeyes mounted a decent 10-1 season with their only beat down recorded against the No. 1 team in the nation, Oregon Ducks. However, the situation took a pearshape as the dark past repeated itself in the Ohio State home stadium in the 120th version of the Game. Even after putting in a lot of effort, Ryan Day couldn’t avoid a fourth upset to the same opponent in a row. But despite the perturb, he got some support from OSU athletic director Ross Bjork. Guess what, it backfired the AD with a legitimate question on his ability to run the administration. Here’s the tea!
It was certainly a hard pill to swallow. The game fleeted in front of the eyes, the humiliation complete. Fure Ryan Day’s cry quite understandably reached a peak. Whether it’s logical or not is subject to debate, but the emotion flows against the Buckeyes head coach. Amidst the upset, AD Ross Bjork backed up the beleaguered coach, which didn’t sit well with many insiders. Menace 2 Sports podcast host Torg held that man accountable right on the spot.
”It’s about winning championships, and if you don’t understand that you are the wrong guy for the job and I fear for the future of this program and your leadership because it’s you, maybe your process, is the process of making more money but the process for us Buckeye fans is winning championships there’s not about conversations, and I’m not saying fire Ryan Day but what I’m saying is what you said should scare the hell out of everyone,”

Ross seemed to be a fan of Ryan Day. In a bombshell interview on Wednesday, he said he and Day gel quite well, and he learned a lot from the Ohio State HC every time they met. When asked about the most debated future of the $5 million coach, he gave his nod.
He said ‘absolutely’ in a firm response to whether or not he sees Day cheering his team from the frontline at the 2025 season opener. Justifying his verdict, the 52-year-old said that championship or bust mentality is a no-no, but it’s about a process.Silencing him with the past legacy of the former Buckeyes coaches, Torg added,
”Ross Urban, Jim Tressel, started the process, finished it with a championship, continued the championship goals going to two championship games and beating Michigan every half a year then Urban Meyer took the mantle and raised us from the Ashes of crap and continued to kick the crap out of Michigan and recruit on a national level, and urban made us again proud of the Ohio State University Ross, there is no process, the process is done.”Well, Ross had to take some heat as Day made it even worse with his post-game attitude over a meaningless on-field controversy.
Ryan Day defending his team’s irrational behavior wasn’t ideal after a 13-10 loss
Ryan Day accepted his mistakes. Instead of sulking in the locker room, though, he motivated his boys to get rid of their woes and start preparing to be better. Day then leads them to engage in a silly war with the Michigan players. The Wolverines wanted to celebrate their quintessential victory by plating their flag at the midfield. The second-ranked Buckeyes took offense at that attempt, and it led to post-game violence on the field. Ryan Day supported his team throughout and deemed it as an act of sentiment.
On the other hand, it raised the question of why he couldn’t do anything when his team came up short against a double-digit underdog on their home turf. Day had no answer. Isn’t chaos a side effect of being on the loser’s side? If not, Day’s maturity as an HC may need to be rutinized once again.

Now, no matter what the world is telling you, Day can only be on the other side of the flakes if he earns a national title and dodges the haunting memory of a dark November afternoon.
