The equation between Ryan Day and Ohio State fans is like a toxic, chaotic couple. Day has gone from the lowest point to the highest within a month. On a cursed day at Columbus, Day and his team gave away their honor for the fourth consecutive time to their arch-rival, Michigan, and felt short of words to justify the setback. Starting from rearranging the roster, adding and omitting members, experimenting with the coaching staff, and adopting new strategies and theories, the veteran coach has done everything in his power to bring back the Urban Meyer glory, but unfortunately, he came up short. But that woe never kept him confined in shame and guilt.
Since that disaster, not only has Ohio State not let a game slip, but they’re just a game away from winning their first national championship in a decade. But fans are still not shutting up.

Ryan Day is still swinging in the danger zone
We started in September with over 100 teams; months later, the first year of the expanded CFP, and we are left with two. The Buckeyes crossed all mountains and seas to save their title shot at Atlanta on January 20th. Ryan Day has heavily relied on his theory of a cohesive, no-huddle offense and is buckling up for their school-record 16th game: the national championship against the Irish. They head to the paramount night as a 9.5-point favorite. Do you think Day owed an apology by the lunatic fans who left him on his toes after the brutal Michigan loss? Well, you have every right to think that ideally, but reality doesn’t match up.
The Ohio State fans didn’t really forget that 13-10 punch in the gut that brought back their old wounds of the untraversed traditional rivalry. Just a few weeks back, Kirk Herbstreit tragically exposed a chunk of fans dishing out death threats to the coach and his family. And guess what, they will still stick to their rancor in case Day misses the title for a point or more. ”It’s their time, it’s their year. That’s nice, but as soon as Ryan Day drops a game when, whether it be this Championship or Texas, I’m sure his fans, his great fans, are going to be calling for his job once again,” said Mike, the SEC football podcast host.

The championship will, of course, be a big loss. However, if Ryan Day wins the natty and loses the season opener against Texas next season, that would hardly hurt, would it? So, Mike may have gotten that part wrong. However, it remains true that the fans are just lurking behind silently and won’t hesitate to jump and launch another barrage of attacks at the earliest chance.

Is Ryan Day's redemption story enough to silence the relentless Ohio State critics?

Paul Finebaum chimed in, ‘‘I just wanted to say what you just got through saying it wasn’t you, it wasn’t me who said Ryan Day needs to get fired it was Ohio State fans.” Needless to say, Finebaum was among those critics who slammed Day vehemently after the Wolves’ beatdown. He called out Day and asked him to pack his bag the next day. Of course, it doesn’t help that the Buckeyes lost “The Game” when they are a multi-TD favorite. However, Finebaum was impressed by how Day handled the pressure and fired back at the doubters with a stupendous playoff run so far.
But if you’re an Ohio State fan, believe that your coach is ready to vest his all to make it work till the end. After all, it’s no longer just a professional pursuit for the 45-year-old.

Ryan Day looks to regain the lost dignity of his family
Ryan Day never hesitated to take all the blame for an unforgivable Michigan letdown. He knows what he has done and what he could have done. In a previous interview, Day revealed how the loss brought back one gut-wrenching memory of his life and compared it to his father’s death. The pain is unbearable, no doubt about that. But the coach is determined enough to erase all the self-inflicted wounds and flip the script for real.
Although it won’t change the fact that his team has dropped the ball against the Wolves, at least a title can heal it to some extent. Most importantly, it will bring back the lost honor of his family.
“It’s their family against our family,” Day xzic. ”And I know one thing. When you have family, you do everything you can, to defend your family!” Day continued.

“Fight on three! One, two, three,” Day concluded the speech as his boys were gearing up for one of the most rugged fights of their lives. It’s not a coach who will fight, it’s a father, and a husband who will have their family on line so a win is as necessary as a breath. The rest depends on the stars.
