Did Ryan Day make a colossal mistake letting Kyle McCord go? Ohio State fans, weigh in!

Kyle McCord is shedding skin to become even more impregnable this year, bringing all his gifts to the Syracuse Orange Football. Right from the start of the season, the senior Quarterback proved to the entire nation that all high-scale preseason hype wasn’t just a strategic flex. While the new teammates and the veterans hailed him for his sharp vision and the ability to lead the squad by example, now it’s time to display what that example could be. Maybe it was the smooth conducting of a quality touchdown drive in the first quarter during a 31-28 winning game against Georgia or how he picked up big wards in a crucial juncture, leaving the crowd roaring in the nod.

However, while it’s still not clear which move of the new avatar of the former Ohio State quarterback melted fans the most, the effect somewhat backfired on his former recruiter, Ryan Day, who found himself in deep water amidst the latest banger momentum of the Iceman.

McCord, 22, however, has not been very reactive about leaving Ohio State at the competent end of season 2023. The Viking preferred to deem it a business call other than any other ball game. The thought of landing into the transfer portal simply came right after he felt diminished for his future potential when Day refused to assure him of the starting position for 2024. Also, he had deep-rooted confidence in his ability to play more of a free-spirited football in another club. When Cyracuse hit the right button of his expectation, he promptly let the old dross go. Although, in the last match, the Oranges could not surpass a tricky defense of Stanford, Kyle McCord, with a 27-of-42 for 339 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions bear a very slim scoop of guilt.

Moving ahead, unlike many might have interpreted, Kyle McCord has no hard feelings for his former team and teammates. ”I still root for Ohio State. I still talk to a few of the coaches. still root for them. I’m cheering those guys on. I appreciate the fans because I met a lot of great people in the community who have still been reaching out and supporting me, and that’s been awesome. On my end, there’s nothing but love for the Buckeyes.’‘ a nostalgic lad elucidated.

But fans stick to the one massive whammy: how ‘Ryan Day let this guy go.?” They are in deep remorse about what the young prodigy could add to Ohio State if he hadn’t gone. But then they couldn’t blame him, as he only did what suited him the best. So, all the heat rightfully burnt the coach, Ryan Day.

Have an interesting take?

It was not only just the crazy’ McCord fans who made a monkey of the intellect of Ryan Day, who wasn’t ready to offer the player a better NIL, better position, or overall better treatment in his heyday in Ohio State. After the Philadelphia-born kicked off his stint with the Orange on a terrific pace, first-year Syracuse coach Fran Brown said he should send Ohio State coach Ryan Day a bottle of champagne to actually help them get the quintessential talent on board. One fan brings out that jeer with an iconic meme comment where somebody was opening the champagne with a rictus smile. Another fan seconded, saying, ”KYLE MCCORD TOUCHDOWN! Fran Brown owes Ryan Day a bottle of champagne for letting him go!”

Day, however, takes McCord’s post-Ohio State rise very sportingly saying, “I’m happy to see Kyle do well.” He added, ”He won some great games here and poured a lot of effort into the program.‘ But fans are far from being convinced that he said that from the core of his mind.
