Will Deion Sanders' leadership turn DC's football program into a powerhouse? What do you think?

The love for Coach Prime is compelling coaches to run through walls! The influence and the impact that Deion has had on college football and the masses in just a season in Boulder is mindblowing. With millions of followers at his feet, Coach Prime is more than just a coach and someone who’s an NFL Hall of Famer, instead, he’s a beacon of inspiration to the people who he inspires on the daily. Only recently he set up a fund for the players who have children to take care of and now, with the words of Robert Livingston, he looks to be taking care of his coaches as well.

During a post-practice conference on 26th August, the newly hired defensive coordinator Robert Livingston had high praise for Deion Sanders and everything he has done for him and his family. Before Colorado, Livingston was with the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. Even though he transitioned from a job in the NFL to NCAA, he is grateful for the position he’s been offered in Boulder and more thankful for Coach Prime.

For Livingston, he’s at the absolute beck and call for Deion Sanders as he sang a long song of praise for the head coach. He said, “Obviously, It’s the first time I’m play calling and it’s not lost on me. He took his chance and every day, you know, he says something else to me. That makes me feel I’d run through a wall for that dude. He’s given me this opportunity. I am forever indebted to him.” Thus, the relationship that Deion and the members of the staff share seems to be impeccable with every coach being grateful to him than the other. With that being said, Deion’s lucky that Livingston is on his team now since apparently the NFSU OL coach seems to be scared of his strategies.

NDSU coach Dan Larson is fearful of Robert Livingston

The fact that Livingston is a former NFL coach is sending tremors through the world of college football. Deion has spoken in the past about how he’s upset over the fact that their season-opening game is against a tough team like NDSU but after the words of Larson about Livingston, it seems like both the teams are afraid of each other’s capabilities. Adding to the list of the Bisons’ problems, Larson has concerns over the personnel on the field, which in turn, is slowing the team down.

As per Larson, he is a bit cautious of the schemes that Robert Livingston brings to the NFL, especially when he’s been in the NFL for the past decade. He said, ” Especially when the defensive coordinator comes from an NFL background, there’s a lot of intricacies there that you have to get a feel for. He’s (Livingston) been a part of a lot of big football games and he’s obviously been around a great defensive staff there in Cincinnati for a long time so he’s going to have a ton of knowledge in terms of how to make adjustments.” Thus, the coach who’d run through a brick wall for Deion, might just be the strongest head in the coaching staff for the Buffaloes as he could employ tactics unaware to the college football coaches.
