Can LaJohntay Wester turn personal tragedy into triumph against the Jayhawks and lead the Buffs to victory?

No, this ain’t good. See, Deion Sanders and his boys are on a roll, and while all the eyes are on Shedeur Sanders or Travis Hunter, there is one other guy who is making quite the plays. In the ten games he has dropped in, LaJohntay Wester has managed to create quite the hype. Roll back to the Wildcats game, where the literal WR depth was in shambles because of injuries, LaJohntay Wester went in and brought two touchdowns for the boys. And how can we forget that time when he turned on those rockets and powered through the Utes with a 76-yard touchdown against a punt?

Even without Hunter, Coach Prime has more than enough talent in the WR room to carry the Buffs through anything. However, the news we got today surrounding Wester ain’t something that good. Back on his Instagram story, Wester shared a picture of his auntie Arnetha Belvin and shared the news of her passing. “Rest up, auntie, love you,” Wester wrote on his story. This happening right before the Jayhawks showdown is quite the low blow.

See, the Buffs are just 2 games away from ending the season on a 10-2 record run. We all know that Wester is going to turn this emotional setback into a monumental return for his boys. Deion Sanders and the players he has coached are just built differently.

And we also gotta keep in mind that Colorado is well on its way to the playoffs. This has been a wild ride for Coach Prime. Going from being called “Hollywood” and “not a playoff team” to landing on the 17th spot on the CFP ranking list and securing Bowl eligibility is a big deal.

Today, we see them go up against the Jayhawks, and Coach Prime ain’t gonna make it easy for Kansas. Going into this showdown, the boys will have all jets blazing, so it’s about time we talk about what the outcome could be.

Colorado Buffs vs Kansas Jayhawks

See, a week back, Deion Sanders used the perfect trick in the playbook to get his boys motivated. Tapping into Nick Saban‘s rat poison psychology, Coach Prime made it clear that boys gotta clear their heads and they cannot focus on what others say. Honestly, this has worked in their favor so far.

What’s your perspective on:

Can LaJohntay Wester turn personal tragedy into triumph against the Jayhawks and lead the Buffs to victory?

Have an interesting take?

Against Texas Tech, the Buffs made a massive comeback despite being down 13-0 in the first half and then against Utes? It was a blowout 49-24 win. They gonna bring the same energy against the Jayhawks, as well. See, KS is in a tough spot. With a 4-6 run and no Bowl games in sight, they are not the crowd favorite in this showdown.

However, another thing you gotta keep in mind is that this is the same that won over BYU. Cougars were on an undefeated 9-win run so far and on top of the charts on the Big 12 list. So, yeah, they do have some skill. But will it be enough to break through that Robert Livingstone defense and Shedeur-Hunter-Wester offense? We shall see.
