The flipping game is skyrocketing in the late season of college football. Big leagues are constantly lurking behind the best talents to grace their roster for the upcoming years. When it comes to the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders and his team have posted a spectacular season so far, giving strong hope for the postseason. But they are not just nailing the scoreboard. Rather, they are solidifying their recruiting streak as well. The latest on their watch is seemingly USC commit Julian Lewis. The young prodigy showcased his joy over the Buffs’ last week’s banger. Little did we know that the subtle interest goes deeper than just a pleasure taken from the fellow team’s win.

There has already been a rumor about the 17-year-old that he might reconsider the pledge he took in mid-2023 as Colorado shows signs of providing more facilities. When he liked a Buffs eulogy post over social media after their quintessential 42-27 win over Texas Tech, the rumors got a serious leg up. Now, it seems we aren’t just over-analyzing the Georgia native’s role in place of Shedeur Sanders in Buff’s roster. It’s actually happening. The college transfer portal dished out a bombshell announcement after 247 Sports’ Tom Loy saw it coming through a crystal bowl prediction.

Deion Sanders is going all in, bringing the top recruit into the 2025 class home. If his effort and Lewis’ interest match up and the current USC star ends up ditching Lincoln Rilley, it will be a big deal for the Buffs. The legend in the making finished his sophomore year with a huge stat, carrying 7212 yards, 96 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Going by the sources, the move is almost confirmed. However, we still have to wait for the final announcement before the Buffs faithful can go crazy over this steal from the Trojans.

Julian Lewis was supposed to be in the 2026 recruiting group, but his unmatched grit and the capability to shine ahead of his years made him jump to college football a year earlier, sacrificing his senior years in school.

The current No. 36 in the country didn’t stop exploring his options despite giving his words to the Trojans, and his father deemed it a wise call. JuJu’s dad noted how being just a good program wouldn’t be sufficient to lure his son. Rather, he just ‘wants an opportunity to walk into a situation where there’s not a cemented starter. ‘ The list of Lewis’ suitors is endless, but the Buffs have a greater hold as Lewis snubbed his Indiana visit this week after his fulfilling October 26th visit to Colorado. Will Shedeur Sanders work as a final bit of motivation in favor of an elite QB recruit?

Shedeur Sanders and Colorado Buffs have a lucrative future to offer to Julian Lewis

Have an interesting take?

Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes have crossed mountains and seas to impress the Georgia native for a while. From their generous Peggy Coppom (a 99-year-old Colorado fan) move to name a burger in his honor at a local hotspot, they are leaving no stone unturned on their end. You might argue that the “JuJu’s Precision Pass Burger” means nothing but a funny gesture, it subtly advocated for their urge to bring Lewis to Boulder.

Shedeur Sanders can be the instrumental force in this collective effort. His mammoth NIL valuation ($6.2 million) and the position he’s holding inside the team might serve as a living inspiration for another young phenom to take the final call. Lewis might not resist the opportunity to build his brand alongside someone like Shedeur Sanders, a seasoned in the genre.

However, as the ‘passing the torch’ narrative started to swirl over the lore, Sanders couldn’t see his legacy being redone, but he was hopeful that Lewis could take over the reins. Imagine Julian Lewis taking over from Shedeur! This is the stuff of dreams. The future seems bright for the Buffs if this move happens.
