No matter how deep soup Texas Longhorns HC Steve Sarkisian lands in due to their QB dilemma and offensive woes, it’s hard for recruits to ignore his program. Remember when the HC claimed, “I’ve never been one to panic in recruiting?” Looks like Sarkisian’s confidence in the recruiting race is paying the Longhorns well. So much so, that he is now using this confidence to make sneaky plans to flip the 5-star cornerback. Well, the top-ranked CB had already given his words to Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks. Is the recruits craze for Longhorns because they see Sarkisian and Co. in a new light or just because of the attractions that await during the recruiting visits?
Back in June, Lanning and the Ducks might have been on cloud nine as they landed the 6-foot, 200-pound cornerback, Dorian Brew. He joined a bunch of other recruits like four-star running back Jordon Davison and four-star defensive lineman Josiah Sharma. But given the current situation, it’s obvious that Oregon’s happy times have been short-lived now that they are on the verge of losing Brew. After all, it would be a tough job to resist Sarkisian’s offer who is armed up with a secret plan to land the cornerback. Looks like senior recruiting analyst Justin Wells has already cracked the Texas HC’s sly plan. On the On3 Recruits podcast, the analyst dropped some quick updates, “Dorian Brew made his way onto campus a couple of weeks ago for the Texas-Georgia game.”

Even though Lanning is now stronger with two quarterback recruits Dante Moore and Austin Novosad, this would make the Ducks HC more desperate to keep the cornerback safe in Oregon. But poor Lanning! Sarkisian has already taken a step ahead. Wells thus raised a warning, “Texas still likes Brew.” So what’s the Texas HC’s plan to make his dream come true? They are now pinning their hopes on the home games to woo Brew as the analyst shared, “They may need to get him back again they’ve got two more home games in the month of November to to try to pull that off.” Now you know how enticing are Longhorns’ recruiting visits.

Not one, not two, but Longhorns could land NINE coveted players that shot up their ranks being the national best in hosting recruits. This also had the most-talked-about visit where they spent $280k for hosting their star QB Arch Manning and to give him the best treatment by paying for his airfare and luxury stay. Hold on, as this is not the end.

More than the luxury stays, you know what turned the eyes of the visiting recruits? Steve Sarkisian came up with a mind-blowing strategy by teaming up with Lamborghini Austin. Going by the SportsCenter’s post that went viral, showed the luxury cars in different colors lined up. That’s just a low-key way of showing off to the recruits that they are going to land in a pool of fortune if they decide to sign up with the Longhorns. Hence, it’s indeed going to be a tough call for Dorian Brew.
