Colorado Buffs star two-way player Travis Hunter is not only making headlines for his outstanding gameplay this season but also for his rift with former NFL star Richard Sherman. We all know Hunter’s desire to be a two-way player in the NFL, but Richard believed something else and called him a “bland receiver.” Man, that must have struck some serious nerves. However, that came to an end with a recent event!

CFB fans were excited to see a dream collaboration this season. On the Travis Hunter Show, NFL legend Richard Sherman teamed up with Buffs standout Travis Hunter to discuss their recent “bland” controversy. When Hunter asked Sherman what he meant by the word bland, he replied, “I mean, you look at the National Football League right now. Even the best corners, only a few of them getting books.”

However, Hunter didn’t give much attention to his statement and focused on resolving their feud. The two-way phenom shared his emotions regarding the “beef” they had on his dual-game ability in the NFL, saying, “no hard feelings.” He even mentioned that he looked up to Richard Sherman when playing for the 49ers. Well, even his family was his big fan, and now the internet seems impressed with the way Travis Hunter handled his differences with Richard Sherman.

Fans praising Travis Hunter

Well, Travis Hunter knows exactly how to turn a hater into a friend. Even after such harsh remarks, it shows the amount of maturity he holds. He is not only a remarkable player but also a gem of a person. “Travis is a rare breed of man.🏈❤️✊🏽😎,” a fan commented. Fans seem really impressed with how Hunter handled his beef with the NFL legend. In fact, Coach Prime was the one who stepped in and helped them sort things out. Deion basically set up a meeting for them to talk it out and clear the air. This made a fan to comment, “This is why conversations are needed. Great to see this.”

Travis Hunter is a man of honor; he never lets grudges affect his nature. Last year Colorado State’s defensive back Henry Blackburn hit him during their game, which caused severe injury to him. But rather than hating him, Hunter straight-up went bowling with him. “This is what makes Travis so special. Like what he did last year with that CSU player. Class act,” a fan wrote.

Travis Hunter’s cautious approach to Richard Sherman’s criticism is quite understandable. While he values Sherman’s insights, he’s also aware of the grueling demands of playing both wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL. Hunter knows firsthand the physical toll it can take and wants to make informed decisions about his future. Even a fan highlighted this fact, saying, “Travis is smart for not burning that bridge; he can get a lot of game from these vets. Whatever Richard Sherman said, what he said, trav know he slighted him, but you never supposed to show your hand, so Travis is playing the situation 100 percent correct.” Well, for now, all looks good between the two of them. Hope that last longer than this season.
