Shedeur Sanders is waiting for his perfect NFL home with a lump-sum stat and a blueblood last name on his back. The Colorado Buff quarterback has already triggered a lot of conversation by announcing that he won’t throw at the Combine. Of course, he is not the only player to do so—this year or years gone by! However, considering his dream of being the No. 1 pick, a lot of eyes were waiting to catch a glimpse of Coach Prime’s son. In that context, even last year’s No. 1 pick (Caleb Williams) didn’t throw at the Combine. So, there’s precedent.
But when it comes to Shedeur, every decision is overanalyzed. What’s the latest overanalysis? Some analysts think that Shedeur’s draft stock may fall to a level where the Raiders may get him. Sanders has previously expressed his interest in the Raiders, who are in desperate need of a quarterback. Sanders notably signed an NIL deal with Brady’s TB12 brand back in 2022.
With the Raiders not picking until No. 6 overall, there is a far-fetched possibility of them landing Sanders at that pick with many quarterback-needy teams rooting ahead of them. But a recent report suggested that there could be a massive dip in Sanders’ stock, even to the point of giving the Raiders hope. Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports noted, ”I definitely talked to an executive today who had some serious questions about Shedeur, also an executive who very much is going off the Shedeur-Tom Brady connection and would The Raiders do that.’‘

The analyst continued building up the hype, “And I think it’s interesting because when I consider, and I know we’ve been talking about the Raiders quarterback situation because they are going to be a common thread in all these topics if they do not have an answer as much as Pete Carol said, but what do you mean we back in the day Russell Wilson, we had a competition, it worked out fine.” But wait, don’t be quick to come to a positive conclusion about the potential Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll reunion narrative.

It might not be the case. Yes, what Carroll has built alongside Wilson in their remarkable Seahawks run is alluring enough for the Raiders to dream about a recreation. You can be fond of that nostalgia, but in reality, there will be a lot more factors that will play a role in the epic duplicity of the Seahawks’ legacy with the Raiders. Maybe this is the reason the visionary Raiders’ head coach seems to be unsure of getting Wilson on the board.
”The fact that they said it worked out fine and not great when the man had what like nine Pro Bowl and two Super Bowl appearances, including a Super Bowl title. That’s wild to me but also makes me question the degree to which he wants Russell Wilson,” Jori dropped another minute bombshell that can significantly impact Shedeur Sanders’ fate with the Raiders. On the top, it seems Shedeur Sanders is hinting toward his Tom Brady connection in every way.

Shedeur Sanders’ declining stock angst and the recent Tom Bardy appreciation add to the Raiders’ rumor
On February 28, Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders sat down for a conversation with Chris Simms and Mike Florio on the NFL on NBC show. He was asked to share his football ambition amidst the draft discussion. The Colorado QB deemed Tom Brady his childhood hero without a pause. ”I’m able to see what he has done, and mentally, how he was able to beat people with the mind. So it’s physically that’s why he was able to play to the year he was able to play. I inherited those types of abilities. I see what he is doing. Okay, I add this to the game, and that’s why I’m not at my best product yet,” Coach Prime’s son cleared his stance on the seven-time Super Bowl champ, fueling the Las Vegas Raiders discussion even more.
So, do the Raiders really stand a chance with the high-octane Colorado QB? Well, if you connect it with his falling stock theory, it might make some more sense. Shedeur Sanders has immense talent and some loaded numbers. No debate on that. But it’s not just about the numbers the teams were looking at. His overly cocky attitude and the playing hard-to-get game might fall heavy on his stock.

As per Jori Epstein, there is a probable case ”when teams won’t like maybe how he presents himself at the podium, he’s pretty brash, he’s definitely cocky, he’s definitely confident, and I think there are some people who get a little turned off by that.” So, if the Raiders move up to the chart as Shedeur falls down to pick 3 or maybe lower in any way, there might be a boom.
