Is Lane Kiffin to blame for Ole Miss' struggles, or is Judkins' mom overreacting?

January was probably a hard time for Rebels HC Lane Kiffin. They just lost their running game. RB Quinshon Judkins had decided to hit the transfer portal, leaving Kiffin and the Rebels kind of lost. Back in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Judkins stood on top of the chart with 2,725 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns. The last time someone had pulled a stat like this was when RB Herschel Walker was still playing at the collegiate level. When Judkins left Ole Miss, things got a little sour.

So after Kiffin’s disastrous loss to the Wildcats yesterday, Teva Judkins just couldn’t stop herself from laughing at the situation. “😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣,” was what momma Judkins decided to tweet out. The wildest part about this entire banter was the comment section of the post. Fans were divided. Some bashed Teva and the others bashed Ole Miss. What you gotta keep in mind is that Kiffin has yet to find his elite rusher. While Henry Parrish Jr. is doing quite an amazing job, he just ain’t on Judkins’ level.

Now, another thing you gotta remember is that Kiffin was the only HC who had decided to play a gamble and give Judkins a chance when neither school in the state had given him an offer. So the entire situation is a mixed bag of emotions. What we can say for sure is that Kiffin ain’t having a good time. While the Rebels did give quite the fight to the Wildcats, it was not nearly enough.

The Wildcats defense had the team on lockdown. You wouldn’t expect less from a team that managed to almost bring Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs down to their knees. The question now is; if Kiffin is regretting letting go of Judkins because if we look at the Buckeyes (where Judkins is now), they got a major boost from having him as the RB. Standing on a 3-0 run for the 2024 season, Judkins has proven to be one of the critical assets for the Buckeyes’ offensive line.

Till now Judkins has managed to grab 336 yards along with 5 TDs. This is an amazing start. While Kiffin continues his mission of finding his perfect RB, we gotta talk about something not many people are picking. The Wildcats have been playing on a different level right now.

Have an interesting take?

You gotta pay attention to this one

As we pointed out before, it was against Georgia that Kentucky managed to turn some heads. Imagine bringing a team with one of the strongest offensive lines in the country down to their knees.

We had put the Bulldogs on a pedestal for their offensive line and more so for their QB, Carson Beck. Kirby Smart is probably the next greatest coach after Nick Saban, so it ain’t no wonder the team has such a big hype around them. However, the Wildcats defense ain’t something you can joke about.

It was constant pressure from the start and the Wildcats defense easily managed to cripple the entire Bulldogs offensive line. A 13-12 win was what Kirby Smart managed to pull out of that game. We saw the same happen against Ole Miss as well.

While it was a constant back and forth between the Wildcats and the Rebels, Kentucky managed to seal the deal in the 4th quarter with a 2:25 minute touchdown. You gotta keep following this team cause they are pulling some sick tricks.
