With Texas preparing for its Peach Bowl College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup with the Arizona State Sun Devils, the focal point remains the same. The quintessential Quinn Ewers vs Arch Manning debate. Manning had his share of the spotlight when Ewers went down with an injury. And it was nothing short of spectacular. He led the team to a heroic 56-7 victory over UTSA with four touchdowns and 67 yards after succeeding Ewers in the second half. The parley started to run rampant. Whether it was the end of Quinn Ewers’ era in Texas and whether Steve Sarkisian should move on from his favorite boy in the next season or not.

After a lot of back and forth, it becomes quite palpable that Arch Manning won’t be beating around the bush for another year. Ahead of the crucial quarterfinal match-up, Todd McShay added his panorama to the spat.

Quinn Ewers produced a bittersweet season to his name. On one hand, he had some of his worst games in the resume against teams like Georgia. He allowed a lot of sacks due to his inability to move. You might blame it on his hurt ankle and the overall affected body balance, but Blunders knows no logic. Fans continued to bash him online and put Manning on the front unless and until Ewers flipped the page with a near-perfect game against Clemson Tigers.

But with all said and done, it’s still Arch Manning for McShay, veteran CFB analyst. ”People like; he needs to return to Texas. That’s not an option folks Quin Ewers ain’t returning to Texas, I get news for everyone, let’s just be real, it is Arch’s time in Austin the second this season ends whether it ends in a national championship with getting rings, and hoisting a trophy or if it ends in disappointment. When this season is over for Texas, it is Arch’s time in Austin, so let’s get that on the table.”

Is it time for Quinn Ewers to step aside and let Arch Manning take the reins at Texas?

Ewers did his part in a tumultuous year. He led Texas (12-2) to the best record in the Southeastern Conference. A spectacular first-round playoff win over Clemson, and Wednesday’s Peach Bowl quarterfinal against Arizona State (11-2) despite all the rampant rumors that he left the job to Arch Manning. Steve Sarkisian has been patient with Ewers all along, and for a reason. But yes, with Manning growing behind the spotlight, it would become a difficult task to make him wait more, especially in the era of volatile portal dynamics. So, Ewers has to make a decision. Whether it’s NFL or another year at college.

He said he’s leaving after this year and going to the NFL, I think he should reconsider, I look at guys like Michael Penix from Indiana to Washington, look at B Knicks from Auburn to Oregon, I look at Dylan Gabriel bouncing around a couple of different places UCF, Oklahoma now Oregon, look at Jaden Daniels Arizona State to LSU, I think Quinn Ewers would benefit,” McShay dished an NFL reality check to third-year player. The kid might not get elevated coaching support or a better offensive line in another Big 10 or Big 12 school. But McShay believes, ‘‘Playing more in a different environment and getting out of Austin in a different system could bring out the best in him with more game experience.” ”This has not been a good season for him by his standards, so I think another year would help Quinn Ewers,” the veteran analyst rounded off. However, regardless of what the future holds, Ewers needs to cap off his season. Or maybe, just maybe, his tenure at Texas on a resounding note.

Veteran analyst throws shades on Quinn Ewers’ passing game ahead of the big clash

Ewers NFL draft stock didn’t hold promise like it once used to. With repeated setbacks and slumps, he moved down from a projected first-round pick to barely a mid-round grade. But if the phenom ends it with a title for his team, the big leagues can still have some thoughts on him. Also, it would give him a huge boost to start off a brand-new stint. But Fox analyst Zoel Klatt has doubts.

Texas has emerged as a solid (top) national title contender. But to be the bride and not the bridesmaid,

Sarkisian should be precise and clear with his decision. With Ewers competing in another match at the starting gig, Klatt took the Longhorns’ chance to outdo the Arizona State with a grain of salt.

Joel Klatt didn’t mince his words. Like always, while raising a question mark on Ewers’ ability to deliver a full-blown show on December 21st. The visionary analyst harbors an unclear instinct about whether or not Quinn will be able to ignite the passing game when needed.

However, Klatt draws the bottom line, saying that if Sarkisian and his team can take care of their business in other areas, then Quinn might do the rest. But making him the man of the hour might not turn out as a great move for the No.2.
