Steve Sarkisian probably thought he had things figured out. But out of nowhere, everyone’s talking about benching Quinn Ewers for Arch Manning. Ewers had a rough game against ASU, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the Georgia disaster, was it? But who cares? Now they’ve got to face Ohio State, who absolutely crushed Oregon’s playoff dreams. So, what’s the plan now? With Arch Manning waiting in the wings, Quinn Ewers is feeling the heat. Looks like it’s time to roll the dice and see what happens.

The Buckeyes weren’t just flexing on offense against Oregon; they were shutting things down on defense too. We all saw their offense light up against Tennessee, and just a week later, they did it again. But let’s not forget the key reason behind this victory. And that’s freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who’s holding up the offense tightly. On the third play from scrimmage, he caught a short pass and sprinted 45 yards for a touchdown, giving his team a 7-0 lead in under a minute. Oh, and Ryan Day’s team defense? Yeah, it’s gonna give Ewers and Co. nightmares.

Let’s talk about the silver bullet that’s gonna fire up Steve Sarkisian’s plans. CFB analyst Adam Breneman believes that this thing might put Quinn Ewers under great pressure. “Don’t let it go unnoticed how good Ohio State’s defense was in this game with all the talk about their offense. I mean, this is the silver bullet for Ohio State of old. Eight sacks, three players with two sacks each.” The Buckeyes led 31-0 midway through the second quarter against the Ducks; it’s more than evident to prove their strong defense.

Now the worst part is yet to come as Adam talks about how effortlessly the Buckeyes sacked Dillon Gabriel 8 times! “In October, Ohio State let up what, 500 yards to Oregon? Yesterday they led up 200-some yards of Oregon, including -23 rushing yards, including Dillon Gabriel getting sacked 8 times. I mean, it wasn’t just the offense; it was a defensive masterclass as well,” he said. That’s three more sacks than Oregon allowed in each of the past two seasons. See, the deal with Gabriel is he can move in the pocket when it’s collapsing, but with Quinn Ewers and his injuries, it has become a tough task.

Moreover, against Ohio State, the Longhorns need to run the ba-l otherwise, they might end up in the same position just like the Ducks. Now we all know Ewers had his high and low moments in their game against Arizona State. Their run game really struggled, managing only 53 rushing yards. And facing the Buckeyes is no joke.

See, people might want to see Arch Manning playing against them, and he sure has the ability to run the game. But let’s not forget that the Buckeyes lead the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 10.9 points and 241.1 yards per game. Now it’s on coach Sarkisian who he is going to bet on!

What’s your perspective on:

Should Sarkisian gamble on Arch Manning against Ohio State, or stick with the embattled Quinn Ewers?

An alarming situation for Texas Longhorns

With just a few games left in college football, the rat race to win the title is in full rage. Four teams, two matchups: Penn State vs. Notre Dame and Texas vs. Ohio State, and the destination is only one. And that’s the National Championship title. Now talking about the Texas Longhorns situation with Arch and Ewers, one thing is evident: with one’s inconsistency and another’s lack of experience, it’s going to be a tough night for the team.

Let’s talk about Quinn Ewers’ problematic play against the Sun Devils. It’s interesting to note that Texas barely managed to secure a 39-31 victory over Arizona State in the Peach Bowl despite squandering a 16-point lead. Thanks to a lovely interception from Quinn Ewers, Arizona State got all the momentum they needed—classic. However, he managed to redeem himself by throwing two passing touchdowns in overtime. With 320 yards and a completion rate of 20 out of 30 passes, his statistics are quite solid. But hey, if he pulls off those mistakes against Ohio State, who just wrecked undefeated Oregon, they’ll totally be fine… probably.

Sark might just pull Ewers for Manning if things get rough. Well, who wouldn’t be eager to replicate Georgia’s genius move of putting a backup QB in a playoff game? Just inquire about Gunner Stockton’s experience in his first start—spoiler alert: a 23-10 loss and an offense that seemed completely unfamiliar with the game of football. But sure, Manning’s got more skill than Stockton—throw him into that mess and watch his career blossom.

Meanwhile, Ohio State is already making records since the moment they entered the playoffs. It’s a big deal for them, as they have been waiting for a national title since 2014. Now, Day’s got his ‘silver bullets,’ and Sark’s got his stars. Let the fireworks begin!
