Is Quinn Ewers' comeback a definitive answer to his critics and doubters?

Texas Longhorns’ starting quarterback, Quinn Ewers, has been in the news since the 2024 season started. He started the season well but got injured and was replaced by Arch Manning. Followed by fans lashing out at Ewers’ poor performance in the Longhorns’ loss against the Bulldogs. Some fans even started calling out Steve Sarkisian to ruin Ewers’ fame in college football by bringing in Arch Manning. After all that mess, Ewers has finally found his long-lost grip over the game following Texas’s week nine’s 27-25 memorable win over Vanderbilt. Now he’s finally answering all those rumors, all those trolls one by one and his first target is 247Sports!

If you’re a Texas fan, you must remember what was being said about him a few days ago. 247Sports said in a post that Ewers will be benched for the rest of the season and will work on his 2025 NFL draft. “BREAKING NEWS, the Texas QB, Ewers will sit out the rest of the season to prepare for the NFL draft,” said a post by the platform which was soon taken down. They shared another post and clarified the earlier post was false.

The 247Sports Instagram account was hacked earlier today with a fabricated report on Quin Ewers. We regret any negative impact.” Now Quin Ewers has a straight message for them.

Cory Mose, a sports analyst, shared a clip of Ewers’ response in an ‘x’ post. “Yeah, it was pretty random. I didn’t really know where they got that from. Whether they got hacked or not.. it was weird,” Quinn Ewers said while interacting with the media. But before that, they indirectly send a message as well. Yeah, quite weird, right? How does a prominent platform post something like that? On one hand, it’s downright irresponsible, and they may find some believers of the hacked theory, but real football fans would see past that BS. How did Ewers initially respond to the thing? Let’s see.

Quinn Ewers’ befitting reply to the trolls and the CFB world’s response to it

As per On3 Sports ‘Pete Nakos, someone close to Ewers said that the report ‘‘is absolutely not true.” On top of that, ESPN’s Pete Thamel also confirmed the same news a few days ago. They said that Ewers will be there in the game against Vanderbilt and does not plan to take a break. Moreover, Ewers also reacted to this news.

Is Quinn Ewers' comeback a definitive answer to his critics and doubters?

Have an interesting take?

Days before Texas’s win over Vandy, Ewers shared an Instagram story where he called the report “fake news.” Although Ewers heard his name echoing for the 2025 draft right now, he’s more focused on winning games for his team. Now this is a long-lost story that everyone forgets after the way Ewers performed in the Texas vs. Vanderbilt game on Saturday.

In the Longhorns’ historic 27-25 win over Vanderbilt, Ewers was at his best, completing 17 passes for 211 yards and scoring three touchdowns, contributing to the Longhorns’ 21-10 lead at halftime. It looks like the QB took all that hate to his heart and bounced back with a slap on his haters’ face!
