Woah! What a game! The August 29 Big Bash featuring Colorado Buffaloes and North Dakota State left the CFB fans biting their nails off in excitement. While they expected Deion Sanders to address the crowd in the post-match press conference, Coach Prime left them spellbound.
Instead of praising his own son QB Shedeur Sanders and dual-threat Travis Hunter, it was North Dakota State QB Cam Miller who landed a gold star from Deion. And Miller is definitely on cloud nine after suffering because of his HC Tim Polasek’s thunder-blunder move and the eventual loss!

During the 2024 opener knock-off, Polasek’s army failed to share the last laugh. All thanks to Deion’s dynamic duo- Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, who defeated FCS power North Dakota State 31-26. It was Hunter who emerged as the star of the show by giving away a hat-trick of touchdowns. However, Deion hardly cares about the end score. What matters to him the most is the individual talents of the players. As Coach Prime sat down with an interview with the BuffsNation Daily for the post-game reaction, he became Miller’s hype man.

Deion went all head over heels for the Bison’s phenom and claimed, “God he played good. They did what they came to do and were very effective. They did a phenomenal job executing their offense. I’m proud of them.” Of course, Coach Prime had to glorify Miller’s talents. After all, he was the one who scored a 20-yard scramble to make it 31-26 when only 2 minutes and 16 seconds were left in hand. However, even then Polasek jumped in and pulled out the wrong card, shutting down their door to success.

Cam Miller, an NFL star in the making
Back in 2023, Miller had garnered enough attention with his 2,530 running yards record to gain HC Polasek’s trust to get the starting QB role. But maybe the debut HC is too protective about Miller and took him out of the game midway. And BOOM! The Michigan alum, Jason Whitlock, did not waste any time to strip off Polasek for this irresponsible move, “Why you take Cam Miller out of the game is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.”

After all, the guy had the Buffs on high alert after raging across the Folsom Field. Miller went for 10-for-13 with 144 yards. While the CFB fans are going gaga over Travis Hunter making a hat-trick, the North Dakota State QB has been hot on his heels as he caught two touchdowns- one passing, one rushing.
Till now it has been the Buffs QB Shedeur Sanders who has enjoyed all the limelight, being almost everyone’s favorite QB. But not anymore. He will now face competition from his 501-for-745 rival, Cam Miller. The North Dakota State Bison are an FCS quarterback pipeline since they have given away multiple signal-callers to the NFL. Who knows, maybe Miller could be the next!
