After the Arizona domination was over, this Bearcats game was Deion Sanders‘ final proving ground. And what did Coach Prime and Co. do? They Won. Taking a team and building it from the ground up ain’t an easy task. The Buffs went from 1-11 to 4-8 to now 6-2 and are ready for the Bowl games. That is what Deion Sanders is capable of. You know, when they wrapped up the Arizona Wildcats showdown and reached the 5-2 run, Coach Prime and Co. made history.

2018.

That was the last time the Buffs had a run this good, and it changed with the 34-7 win over the Wildcats. It took 6 years and a mad scientist like Coach Prime to flip things around. And now with the Bearcats showdown over and a 34-23 score on the board, Deion Sanders has managed to create history AGAIN. Deion Sanders Jr. took to his Instagram story to share Colorado’s history leap as marked by Complex Sports. “Colorado is ranked for the first time in 2024,” Complex Sports mentioned in their post.

Put some respect on the team’s name.

Standing on the No. 23 spot on the Week 9 AP Polls, the Buffs have made their debut, and he-k they did it in style. Throughout the entire game, the Buffs were NEVER trailing behind the Bearcats. It was an explosive start, with Travis Hunter landing the first 3-yard TD in the first quarter, followed by Shedeur Sanders 4 yard TD run.

And you know who did an amazing job on that turf? The D-line and the o-line. Shedeur Sanders had more than enough time to make plays from the pocket, and it shows because the dude managed to cover 323 yards with 25 out of 30 passes completed and 2 touchdowns.

What’s your perspective on:

Can anyone deny Coach Prime's genius after taking the Buffs from 1-11 to ranked status?

Have an interesting take?

The cream of the crop was Hunter and his plays. HE12MAN managed to grab 2 touchdowns with 9 catches and 150+ yards under his belt. After this game, he skyrocketed on the FanDuel Heisman odds with +330. This game not only put the team on the ranked map but it could also benefit Coach Prime in another way.

Juju is coming to Folsom

Rivals were quick to take to their Instagram account to show an unexpected guest watching the Buffs vs Bearcats showdown. Julian Lewis was there in the crowd, watching Coach Prime and Co. put in the work. If you were living under a rock (it is alright if you were), Julian Lewis has to be one of the MOST sought-after QBs for the 2025 class.

While the kid is with the USC Trojans right now, there have been multiple hints along the way that could signal a commitment flip. He-k, another Trojans commit, Corey Simms, even dropped some mysterious words under the post by Rivals.

If Deion Sanders manages to bring Lewis on the team, he would have the perfect replacement for Shedeur Sanders. Now, all we gotta do is wait and watch. Maybe if Colorado finishes this season with a 10-2 run and a playoff game, Lewis will flip?
