“WE MADE IT YALL,” Deion Sanders’ older daughter, Deion Sanders, announced to the world on August 9 this year after the birth of her first child. This three-word message, however, was laced with a reminder of the heartbreaking journey the 32-year-old endured to welcome baby Snow. “Through every challenge—the fibroids, the threatened miscarriages, the shortened cervix, the cerclage, the myomectomies, the wisdom of age(keep it cute lol), the blood transfusions, placenta accreta and wanting to take my entire uterus, the bed rest, and the prayers to reach 28 weeks—by the grace of God, WE MADE IT. 🙌🏾,” she further wrote, and nobody could’ve been thankful than her father, Coach Prime.
Under that post, he commented, “Proud of y’all. Keep him before God and God will keep him before us. 🙏🏾” And since then, the 57-year-old has always remembered to count his blessings when it comes to his beloved daughter and grandson, who we might add, was born on the same day as the Colorado Buffaloes coach. Recently, the world became witness to another heart-touching moment when the Sanders family’s designated photographer and CU’s go-to social media guy, Deion Sanders Jr, captured the father-daughter duo in a somber moment.
Overlooking the picturesque mountains behind CU’s home ground, the Folsom Field, Deion embraced her daughter and prayed, “Lord, we thank you. Lord, we love you. We magnify you Lord. Thank you for Deiondra and her motherhood journey. Thank you for baby Que. Thank you for all that he’s going to be, all that he could be, and all that he would be. Lord, we just ask you to keep the ignorance keep the foolishness, keep the simplicity amongst us, and guard him and protect him in all his ways, come to and protect his family.”

Deiondra’s pregnancy journey was anything but easy. Heartbreakingly, she was diagnosed with uterine fibroids at just 22. “The turning point was a night of heavy bleeding. It wasn’t just heavy – I was losing blood clots the size of my fist, “ Sanders said. “ No exaggeration. I called my mom, and she urged me to go to the hospital, but I was so drained; so weak from losing so much blood; that I just wanted to sleep thinking it would stop by morning. Thankfully, my family wouldn’t take no for an answer and rushed me to the hospital. Looking back, I realize sleep could have been fatal. The bleeding wouldn’t stop – it was constant, every five to ten minutes,” she had revealed when talking about the diagnosis. In just eight years, Sanders had to undergo three myomectomies (fibroid removal surgeries).
Yet the non-cancerous tumors kept growing up until to the point that Prime Time’s daughter feared how fibroids would affect her pregnancy. However, as people say, miracles do happen. “This journey has been long, but seeing your face, my sweet baby boy, made every moment worthwhile. I am overjoyed to be your mom and cannot wait to share a lifetime of love and adventures with you. I love you so much Baby Que💙 I Love you so much Que💕,” Deiondra wrote after the birth of her first child.

Thanks to little Que’s arrival, the Sanders family has also seen an exciting new change in roles…
Deiondra’s new role in Boulder
Earlier, it was hard to spot Bucky without his camera. But looks like someone else has taken its place now. Whenever Jr. lets his camera down it always has to be to take nephew Baby Snow in his lap. It’s then that Deiondra gets the chance to try her skills with her brother’s weapon. Now that the new mommy has flown to Boulder for the first time with her two-month-old and Jacquees, she is trying to capture each and every moment.
On October 30, the proud mother posted a series of snaps with Jr. holding Baby Snow in a protective embrace. The caption said it all, “Uncle OSSACIN in full effect🥰 @deionsandersjr.” And not just Uncle Bucky, Grandpa Prime too is not willing to let go of his grandchild even for a moment.

Deion thus carries the lil one to the breakfast table as well. And there happened something hilarious! While Baby Snow was cozily snuggled up in Grandpa Prime’s arms he pulled off some notorious acts which Coach Prime later posted, “He was taking a standing dump! He Blew the back out of his diaper.” Maybe that’s all that the Buffs HC had been scared of but seems to enjoy to its fullest now!
