Is Shedeur Sanders the next big thing in college football, or just a flash in the pan?

The Colorado Buffs are 7-2 this season, which is a stark contrast to last year. Their latest game against Texas Tech in Lubbock marked a 41-27 win, which certainly didn’t come easy. It was a rollercoaster ride for the Buffs; they had a rough first quarter, after which their defense stiffened up. The biggest takeaway was that the Buffs need to start faster. Regardless, they had dominant second and third quarters. Their QB Shedeur Sanders recorded some nice numbers: He threw 291 yards, scored three touchdowns, and rushed for another.

No wonder he was named ‘Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week’. ‘Coach Prime’ would certainly be happy about his son’s achievement, but mom Pilar was thrilled! What did she have to say about this?

Pilar Sanders, who is well known for supporting her babies through thick and thin, shared a proud mamma post on Instagram. “What a great guy! Truly LEGENDARY! 🤣 Colorado winning vs Texas Tech! Let the band play 🎶🎶🎶 #proudmom #footballmom #shedeursanders #shedeur4heisman #wellrounded #gobuffs #legendary,” she wrote on Instagram.

Well, Shedeur’s fans might know quite well that Pilar is the kind of person who never misses a chance to encourage her children. Now a musician, Shawn Baker, highlighted Pilar’s parenting under her post.

Well deserved! Shedeur is not only talented, but he’s a darn good guy too! His parents raised him well! Pilar is a great mom and her love for her kids doesn’t get the attention she deserves because she’s there for them as much as Deion is! Pilar- just know we love you too and we all know that you’ve done an amazing job with your kids as well as Deion, too! Keep being you, Pillar! Congrats Shedeur!” he wrote.

Pilar was thrilled to read this and replied with, “❤️❤️”.

Well, one can’t deny that she supports her kids. But she also loves them equally and the biggest example (also a hilarious one) was seen in 2022. Back then, the Sanders were at Jackson State, and Pilar, who attended their game, was first seen wearing #2 to support Shedeur. She then removed the jersey and underneath it, she was wearing #21, in support of Shilo!

But if we look at a more recent incident, in September, Shilo sustained a broken arm while playing against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He had to undergo surgery and Pilar was quite emotional about it. “So this is kind of a hard vlog. It’s Sunday now and the boys are home from football… Shilo broke his forearm, life of a football mom. It’s not easy,” she said in an update.

Similarly, Pilar Sanders can be seen supporting her daughter Shelomi, who plays basketball at Alabama A&M. In fact, when Shelomi made the tough decision to transfer from Colorado to Alabama, Deion Sanders wasn’t happy about it. But Pilar supported her daughter to follow her heart. It is clear that the mother loves to encourage her kids to keep moving forward in life. As her name suggests, she is indeed holding them like a pillar. With that, let’s learn what Shedeur Sanders has to say about the buffs’ major victory.

Shedeur Sanders is getting the recognition he deserves!

After a slow start this season and a few sloppy defeats, everyone started forgetting about the Buffs. However, we are talking about Deion Sanders and his boys; they know how to get back the attention. They know how to bounce back. And with each passing game, they are taking their pride back.

Moreover, the Buffs’ defense has been incredible this season. All thanks’ to Deion Sanders, who hired Colorado’s new defensive coordinator Robert Livingston, and senior quality control analyst Warren Sapp after last season.

With that, Colorado’s defense line is one of the strongest this season. We can say that about the O line as well. Not long ago, in the 2023 season, Shedeur Sanders was the most sacked quarterback in the FBS with 52 sacks.

Look at his improvements this season. Sanders is now standing among the top three for passing touchdowns, scoring 24 and with a 72.9% completion percentage. Not only that, Shedeur Sanders is also among the top ten for his 2882 passing yards so far this season. It was a difficult win but the team has already set their focus on their next game: Against Utah at Folsom Field.

Will Colorado pick another win? Let us know in the comments below.
