The Vanderbilt Commodores are enjoying a dream season, and the credit undoubtedly goes to their star quarterback, Diego Pavia, and his impressive performance on the field. However, it is surprising to see that questions are being raised about his gameplay. The team currently holds a six-win and one-loss streak in the ongoing season, with most of their crucial victories attributed to Pavia’s contributions. Nevertheless, it seems that this is not sufficient. Following recent events, Pavia himself sheds light on his perspective regarding the fans’ opinions of him.

Today on a recent episode of the ESPN College Football show, Vanderbilt Commodores star quarterback Diego Pavia joined analyst Paul Finebaum after their remarkable win against the Auburn Tigers. During their conversation, Pavia discussed the impact that trolls and their harsh words leave on him, saying, “It inspires me. Like, people don’t understand how hard I work, what I do outside of football, trying to manage everything. And then just, I want to be the best teammate where my teammates could count on me, rely on me, and just anything they need.” It looks like the backlashes coming all his way do not affect Diego Pavia, and why should he be? The kind of gameplay he is putting up for the team is nothing less than magic.

Well, no one would have thought a program that was standing on a 2-win, 10-lose streak last year would actually become bowl-eligible this season. There is no doubt that the team is performing exceptionally well this season in terms of their gameplay, but the name that took their offense to another height is none other than Diego Pavia. This guy has shown nothing but excellence on the field, as taking down a team like Alabama is not everyone’s cup of tea. During their game, Diego completed 16 out of 20 passing attempts, throwing for 252 yards with two touchdowns. And in offense, he had 20 carries and 56 rushing yards, marking an incredible first win for Vandy against Bama after 40 long years.
