Penn State is 2-0 and rolling into Week 4 of college football! They’ve won two exciting games: 34-12 against West Virginia and 34-27 against Bowling Green. After playing the past two games in broad daylight, Penn State is all set to play its first night game of the 2024 season. They will face Kent State on September 21st around 7 or 7:30 PM. “Tremendous opportunity for both programs,” said head coach James Franklin, referring to Saturday’s game.
Ahead of week four’s game against Kent State, the team of Penn State interacted with their fans and a young little fan of theirs is adorable. From their official ‘X’ account, they posted a video featuring Penn State’s young fan wearing a navy blue-colored Nittany Lions-imprinted jersey. “We have a new member of our team! Welcome to the family, Gannon Jr,” the caption reads.
The clip starts with all the team members gathering in a circle when they bring in a young boy and James Franklin hands him the jersey. Everyone started cheering loudly for the fan, which made him even happier as he swung the t-shirt in the air and then a Penn State player helped him wear the jersey.

At the end of their meet, the kid’s family joined him, and he gave the head coach a bracelet, along with a fan book he made for Franklin. The coach, looking at the cover, asked, “Who’s this handsome guy?” The kid grinned and said, “That’s me.” He then went around, shaking hands with all his favorite players. You could see him leaving the field with a big smile on his face.
Let’s hope to see the same wide grins on every Penn State fan’s face as they head into Week 4 of the college football season.

Is Penn State's new mascot the good luck charm they need for a successful season?
Have an interesting take?
Penn State, ranked number 10, will face off against Kent State at Beaver Stadium on September 21st. Kent State isn’t exactly a tough opponent, especially after their recent 71-0 loss to Tennessee. On paper, it seems like an easy win for Penn State. However, there might be a slight concern or challenge ahead that could make things interesting. Well, Penn State will enter this upcoming game without some of their top players, as explained by head coach James Franklin.
Remember KJ Winston being named Big Ten defensive player of the week in Penn State’s season opener game against Virginia? Well, he announced not to play for the program right before the game against Bowling Green. Added to that, their star wide receiver, Kaden Saunders, who faced an injury, will need some more time to recover.”We’re either stopping drives after we convert first down situations hard to get into a rhythm on offense and then defensively, letting guys off the hook, making more manageable third down situations for their offense against our defense,” said Franklin, explaining how they are preparing for the next game against Kent State. Besides that, let us know in the comments which team you’ll be supporting next weekend.
