We are back with more Deion Sanders’ speculation. Colorado was massive this year. 9-3 from the 4-8 disaster and also a Heisman winner? Like it cannot get better than this (yeah if they win the Alamo Bowl, it’ll be a great happy ending). Regardless, all of it makes you wonder what’s next for Deion Sanders. You know, we’d like to point something out. Paul Finebaum has always hated Coach Prime. “All Hollywood” and “Not a Playoff Team” were some of his takes on Deion and his run with the Buffs. The hate is understandable. The 2023 run was probably the most overhyped thing any Buffs fan had ever seen, but as we pointed out before, things have changed.

And these things have started making Finebaum wonder if Deion is even going to stick around or not. “I want to believe him, but I also know that if one of these NFL owners comes along or, like Stephen A., alluded, one of these Blue Chip College programs. I don’t know how he could turn it down,” Finebaum pointed out. And it ain’t just him. Even Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim also think that Deion is leaving. But then here is the thing. Coach Prime has made it loud and clear that he does not want to leave Colorado. “I want to put my flag down in Colorado,” Deion Sanders had mentioned during an interview. But then again, when a $11 billion NFL team comes calling, won’t you wanna leave as well?

And not only that. Finebaum mentioned two really important points while talking about this scene, which could allude to why Deion could’ve made a false promise. First is the transfer portal. Even if Deion wants to leave, he cannot just say that outright with the portal still open. This could easily cause the same exodus Bama faced when 18 players hit the portal because Nick Saban had announced his retirement.

The second thing is that Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are leaving for the NFL. Deion will lose 2 of his crown jewels, so what is even the point in sticking back? We’ll tell you. For the future of Colorado Buffs. Say what you want, but Deion Sanders will probably not leave anytime soon.

With QB Julian Lewis in to replace Shedeur and the portal recruitment game heating up for the Buffs, everything points towards another era of Colorado Buffs football under Coach Prime. And maybe this time they could even crack it into the playoff picture. They already ranked in the Top 25 CFP rankings, right? Just a few more baby steps and Buffs are in. But for once, let’s just assume Deion does leave. In a “simulated” scenario, which team do you think he has the most chance to go to?

Dallas or Las Vegas?

From first guess, many fans would pick Raiders as the best destination. We know why. Nothing is going to change shedeur from being the QB1 this 2025 NFL draft. Now, guess who is getting the first pick? Yeah, the Raiders. Now, why are we hinting towards a Deion and Shedeur reunion at Raiders? Well, there has always been a close theme of Coach Prime and his son switching teams together. From Jackson St. to Colorado and Colorado to someplace else.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Deion Sanders' loyalty to Colorado withstand the allure of NFL riches and prestige?

Have an interesting take?

Not only that. Let’s assume the Raiders approach Deion Sanders for the HC role. Shedeur is also going to come along. The biggest reason behind it is the fact that Deion has always paid a lot of importance to getting the right QB. Imagine you get the wrong pick and then you are stuck with the wrong QB the entire season. This could be a disaster.

Now, this theory also applies to the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones needs a revamp. HC Mike McCarthy has been tragic and the $200+ million that Jones is going to pay QB Dak Prescott is pretty much going down the drain.

They need a quarterback and a new head coach for the next season. What’s better than the Sanders duo? Now, this is one theory that even Finebaum, Smith, and Rex Ryan agree with. “Draft Shedeur Sander and, by the way, hire Prime Time Deion Sanders,” Smith had pointed out on ESPN.

Regardless, as of now, Coach Prime and Boulder’s marriage ain’t gonna see any separation. We can expect much more great things from the Buffs in the 2025 season.
