The Cornhuskers are off to a solid start against UTEP and QB Dylan Raiola is here to kick some a** and take some names. Being led by offensive coach Donovan Raiola, the entire O-line of the Cornhuskers is in good hands. A glimpse of it could be seen when Dante Dowdell managed to pull in a 5-yard TD run in the first quarter of the game. While the Miners were quick to answer back with a 38-yard TD pass from Skyler Locklear, Dylan Raiola changed the tides of the game real fast. As the kid locked in a solid touchdown during the 2nd quarter, making the score 16-7 against UTEP, he managed to catch the eye of one of the GOATS of the NFL.

Bleacher Report took to X to share Raiola’s TD on September 1st, Patrick Mahomes took his shot and had a 2-word reaction to the young QB’s play. “Lil cuzzo!! 💪🏽🎯” Mahomes wrote while sharing the clip of Raiola. However, while this might have been a solid wholesome moment, fans were not happy. People quickly hopped on X to troll Mahomes for his reaction toward the play. “He does not know you cuh,” a fan was quick to reply to Mahomes’ praise. This makes no sense. We know that Raiola loves to follow what Mahomes has done over the years. Take his jersey, for example; Raiola has the same No.15 on the back that Mahomes has while he plays with the Chiefs. Even HC Matt Rhule had noted that Raiola loves Mahomes and the way he plays. “He wears the No. 15, and he patterns a lot of his game after Patrick Mahomes,” Rhule had noted during an interview.

While he can never be Mahomes, the kid still has managed to make his mark in CFB. He has a solid arm talent and can almost land any throws while playing from the pocket. Even during the game against the Miners, Raiola locked in 2 solid touchdowns and also played 19-27 for around 238 yards. Having him on the O-line has significantly improved the entire offensive performance of the team. If we look back, the Cornhuskers had allowed around 119 QB hurries back in 2022. That number fell to 65 after Raiola entered the team. As the kid continues to make his HC proud, fans, on the other side, continue to troll Mahomes.

Unwarranted trolling

One fan had the wildest take out of the bunch. “trying to take credit for another person’s success. Disgusting. I thought you had more class than this Patrick,” they wrote on X. How exactly is Mahomes even taking credit? He was just appreciating Raiola’s TD. Sometimes folks on X just don’t make any sense. Another fan took a shot at Raiola. “look at ward tryna be like you lmao,” they mentioned in their post. It’s alright to mirror your inspiration. What Raiola is doing is not illegal or wrong and if that makes his plays and presence on the field even better, then who are we to judge?

One fan agreed that what Raiola managed to pull is quite amazing. “okay I’ve been trolling but this is tough,” they noted. To manage to pull such a good run on the sideline while avoiding 2 different players trying to tackle you is a solid feat. Finally, the last fan had the most calm reaction to the entire thing. “😂😂” they posted.
