Buckle up, folks! The Shedeur Sanders plot is thickening up! Colorado Buffaloes fans are probably glued to every news update about their favorite QB. After all, Shedeur’s facing a life-changing transition. Already, Deion Sanders’ son has been on the speed dial for a lot of NFL giants. While every other day a new theory pops up about Shedeur’s first NFL home, Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs dropped his take. He broke the silence on Shedeur’s NFL future, and according to him, things are going to be rocky for Shedeur in the league. His draft stock has already taken a nosedive

Well, while the CFB world might be obsessed with Shedeur landing as the first overall pick, Deion’s son has not been quite bothered about it. Early in February, in an interview with ESPN’s Kevin Clark, Shedeur confessed, “These are good problems to have. You could be in a way worse situation. Being No. 1 doesn’t really matter to me. It’s all about fit.” So what if the Buffs QB has surrendered everything to the universe? He is still very much in the hype of being the No.1 pick.

Interestingly, he is not the only one to be hyped about. Shedeur is going to fight against Cam Ward for the No.1 position. That’s what Jacobs too believes.

On February 21, Sports Illustrated released a short clip from Jacobs’ interview. The interview hit him with the question, “Who do you think would be the No.1 pick in this year’s draft?” Initially, the RB did not know whom to choose. So he counter-questioned?  “Who has the first pick?” When he got to know it was the Tennessee Titans, he got into some serious thinking. Jacobs went like, “Oh they need a quarterback. Ohhh..It’s a toss up between the two. Between Cam Ward and obviously [Shedeur] Sanders. I think you can’t go wrong with either or.” Now where does the Buffs QB stand?

Roughly eight members of the Tennessee Titans had a meeting with the 23-year-old Buffs QB  at the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas, in the first week of February. While Shedeur was in all smiles, Tennesse GM Mike Borgonzi has been pretty sorted about what he exactly wants for the program. He stated, “We’re going to turn over every rock to make sure we get the right guy there.” Now will Shedeur be the right one? Well, chances are dim!

Shedeur Sanders’ shine is fading away at the wrong time

Looks like Shedeur is losing out on his glitz and glamour. Well, the timing’s not great, especially with the NFL Combine less than a week away. For much of the pre-draft process, Sanders was widely considered the second-best quarterback prospect behind Ward. While being the second-best would not have bothered Deion’s son much, Shedeur might care now.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shedeur Sanders' NFL dream fading, or will he prove the doubters wrong on the big stage?

Have an interesting take?

As ESPN’s Matt Miller noted, several scouts now see Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart as a serious candidate for QB2 status. But isn’t Shedeur already used to it?

After all, the young chap had already been in the hot seat for riding his father’s name. But he did flip the script from being the most sacked player in college football to coming up with a 74.0% completion rate, 4,134 yards, and 37 touchdowns. But maybe that’s not enough. According to NFL draft analyst Trevor Sikkema, Shedeur going into the pro league as a starter doesn’t look like a good option. “I think that if he’s a starter in the NFL and goes to the right system, I think he’s more of a mid-tier starting quarterback at the NFL level,” came the reality check. Forget position; Shedeur’s talents too are casting clouds of doubt.

Now, come on, we can’t ignore that sometimes the physical attributes that earned you gold stars in college aren’t enough in the NFL. Already critics are pointing towards Shedeur’s tendency to hold onto the pigskin too long and his inconsistent deep passing. Now if this isn’t enough to scare the Buffs QB, analyst Trevor Sikkema took the charge.

He stated, “I mean, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes—I mean, all of these—Jayden Daniels now. I mean, these are alien-type talents, and when you aren’t stacking up talent-wise at that position, it’s hard. It’s hard to compete at that level.” Now, they come off as a power-packed package. Shedeur’s NFL fate—where will the chips fall?
