Okay so, the Texas Longhorns. Steve Sarkisian and his million-dollar roster and the entire CFB world by their throat as they managed to go on a massive 6-0 run. This team was averaging at least 30+ points in every single game and people were going wild. Then comes the real challenge for Steve Sarkisian and the Texan monster. Entering the Dawgs showdown, people thought, well, Sark should win this easily, right? Nope. Kirby Smart easily managed to edge past the long-running champs with a 30-15 win, and Steve Sarkisian was devastated. Adding insult to injury was the close game against Vandy, where Sark barely managed to win 27-24.
This guy can’t seem to catch a break cause now, we just spotted something that spells trouble for the Longhorns HC’s love life. Steve Sarkisian’s Ex-wife Loreal Sarkisian was spotted on her Instagram story doing some Q&A. But then, if you look at her finger, the ring was missing. Now, why is this important? See, if you were one of the fans obsessed with Sark’s love life, then you’d know that both partners had filed for divorce. However, like some Disney movie, Loreal was spotted with her wedding ring just a few days back during a shoot she did for Chanel. Fans thought, hey, maybe things are back in their place. Ah, doesn’t look like it.

The couple got married way back in 2020 and now, without the ring on her finger, it is safe to say that maybe the divorce proceedings are now complete. Steve is caught in the worst spot possible. Texas was on top of all the charts before the Bulldogs game. After that loss? The once great has now diminished to almost nothing.
On the latest CFP playoff list, the Longhorns are in the 5th spot, so it does seem like they have a massive shot at making the playoffs. However, you still gotta keep in mind that Sarkisian has to cover a lot of games before that happens.
These aren’t even the big problems for the roster. The QB issue is another thing that has been haunting Sark. Quinn Ewers was underperforming on such a level that Sark had to sideline him and bring out Arch Manning to keep up the momentum. Even after that, they still lost to Kirby Smart and Co. Coming weekend, the Longhorns are facing off against the Gators. So, can they win it?

See, Billy Napier has been incredibly unlucky this entire season. The once national champs are now sitting with 4-4 and a zero percent chance of cutting it for the playoffs. Yes, you can blame Napier for a lot of it. The amount of horrendous decision-making this guy has done for the Gators is wild. From benching Cormani McClain to using Graham Mertz as the starting QB, the list goes on.
What’s your perspective on:
Can Steve Sarkisian turn the Longhorns' season around, or is it already too late for redemption?
Have an interesting take?
But you also gotta admit that when Napier finally started to play his cards right, fate had a different plan. See, Mertz is out because of his ACL. So, DJ Lagway was the one who took over and the impact he had on the team was instant. Gators secured their second 40+ point game against Kentucky Wildcats and Lagway as the new talk of the town.
And then came the Bulldogs. Napier and Co. held Smart back by a significant margin. Going into the second half, Georgia was trailing at 6-13 behind the Gators. However, the omen had already struck. In the first half itself, Lagway was out because of his left hamstring injury and all the pressure came down on 3rd starting QB Aiden Warner.

The entire momentum that the Gators had managed to build up dissipated in an instant and Georgia pulled a W with 34-20 on the board. There is a high possibility that Sark will secure a win against a roster without Lagway. If by a miracle Lagway does come back, the injury will still have an impact. Let’s just hope the Longhorns don’t end up disappointing the fans.
