When will people learn how to take a joke? See, we all know who Jimmy Horn Jr. is. This dude has been one of the most important guys in Deion Sanders‘ WR room. Jimmy Horn Jr. proved his loyalty to the Buffs on October 17th. Horn was pretty clear in his stance: “No money in this world can make me switch up on my dawgs.” The entire injury during the Kansas State game was just a small setback for this prodigy, as he managed to snap right back during the Arizona Wildcats and the Bearcats game. At this point, we all know what he is capable of on that turf, but outside of it? Well, let’s just say Horn has some “game”.
July was a wild ride for this guy because a random news website decided it would be fun to write a whole story on Horn, supposedly dating Sydney Swinney. Both of them were “quietly hanging around” in their free time. See, some people had a hunch that this was fake, and today on Instagram through a clip posted by Coach Pollock, the entire dating rumor has been debunked. “I don’t know who that is. I recently found out when they dropped that,” Horn mentioned in the clip. Surprise, surprise that a random news outlet managed to exaggerate a fake story. What a day.

See, the 2024 “It” girl is already happily engaged and there is no way Horn is dating someone who is engaged. Yes, the possibility of the Buffs WR dating such a high-profile celebrity is an exciting one, but come on, we should at least try to be real here. Yeah, both of them could indeed end up becoming the next Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift of college football, but they are not, at least for now.
However, with that entire debacle out of the way, Horn can finally focus on taking the Buffs to newer heights. See, Coach Prime and Co. are in a solid spot right now. This is the first time since 2018 that Colorado has had an amazing 6-2 start.
If that wasn’t enough, the team has managed to crack it for the Bowl games and has also landed on the AP polls. Have you ever, in your wildest dreams, thought the Buffs could land on the AP polls next to giants like Bama or Dagws? These are massive achievements for Coach Prime and his boys. But here’s the kicker; people still doubt Deion Sanders’ ability to crack it for the CFP.

Deion Sanders going from “playing for clicks” to CFP
See, back on ESPN, the hosts had something to point out regarding Coach Prime. The summary of the discussion was the fact no one was sure that Deion Sanders would be able to crack into the playoffs. This is kind of weird when you think about it. After the Huskers’ defeat, the Buffs have shown massive improvement all across the board.
The entire defense has been on point and Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have kept the offense afloat. Yes, the Kansas State game was a disaster but you cannot say that the team didn’t bounce back beautifully with 2 back to back wins against Arizona Wildcats and Cincinnati Bearcats.

All of this begs the question; if Coach Prime and Co. win the remainder of the games, can they crack into the playoffs? See, there is a high possibility of this happening. 10-2 run, they gotta get an easy ticket into the playoffs. Now no one is saying that they will win a national championship but taking a team from 1-11, to 4-8 to 10-2 has to be one of the greatest feats any HC has ever accomplished.
