Already excited for the college football conference championship games to start? yeah, yeah, everyone is! The most exciting part about GameDay is yet again here with Pat McAfee and his squad hosting the program as a precursor to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta. As is the tradition, we are also back with field goals. So, who’d be the guest picker for today’s episode? It’s Timothee Chalamet who made things even more interesting! Things went crazy when the guest picker decided to join Pat McAfee for his weekly field goal challenge.
Like every week this season, Pat McAfee put some of his money on the line for a fan who attempts a field goal. For this week, this ritual ended up being the biggest sum you might have seen for some time now. A Texas fan, Corbin Cessna, was that guy who attempted a field goal; as he missed the first attempt, the crew upped the stakes. Kirk Herstreit, Pat McAfee, and Timothee Chalamet all together take the bid to $1.2 million.
1.2 Million Dollar kick. No big deal. Definitely knew this was the gameplan going into it… @PatMcAfeeShow 😅😅#CollegeGameDay pic.twitter.com/ZQolh4ocpV

“1.2 Million Dollar kick. No big deal. Definitely knew this was the game plan going into it...” Kirk Herbstreit penned a caption over a clip from the GameDay. The Texas fan was not lucky today, as the ba*l landed just outside the uprights as the fan attempted. Before all that, McAfee was so confident that after the fan missed his fan attempt, he doubled the amount to $200,000. he even encouraged Herbstreit to add his share, and that’s when the amount reached $480,000.

After that, McAfee moved towards Chalamet and asked about his spirit to join the challenge. “Yeah, I’ll get in there, too,” Chalamet said, and that’s when the amount reached a crazy $1.4 million prize. But it looked like the Texas fan was not lucky this morning, as he missed his second kick as well. Moving forward, there’s one more that’s catching the attention of the fans, and that is Pat McAfee’s take on the upcoming Texas vs. Georgia game.
Pat McAfee’s prediction on the Texas vs. Georgia game
Pat McAfee is bringing in the heat with his pick on the SEC championship game. If you’re doubting it, it’s not any pick; it’s full on a wide ride. On Saturday’s game day, McAfee, with all his energy, jumped out of his chair and shouted, “Who’s that coming down the track… It’s the mean machine in red and black… Go dawgs… Go dawgs… Go dawgs..”

He just cleared the air loudly with his stand for the bulldogs. Alternately, he said that he picked against the Longhorns and will do that again. As of now, both teams are gearing up for the 12-team playoff, but securing an SEC win will have its own perks, like the first-round bye, giving either of them a cakewalk to the national title.
So, if Georgia wins, they’ve got one less competition in the playoff bracket. If Texas wins, they might crown the top overall seed.
