Is Kurtis Rourke the best quarterback Indiana Hoosiers have ever seen, or is it too soon to tell?

Kurtis Rourke is not just a name; he is now an emotion for Indiana Hoosiers fans who have been patiently waiting all these years for their moment to shine. Entering the 12th week of the college football season, the Hoosiers are one of those few teams undefeated. However, it wouldn’t have been possible without their starting quarterback. Rourke is the guy who is making waves both on and off the field. It’s evident by looking at the current hike in his NIL valuation.

The 6-foot-4 and 200-pounder’s total NIL valuation went up by 14%, currently standing at $1.3 million. With that, he’s now a 19th-ranked college football quarterback and stands at no. 42 on the NIL 100. Look at his NIL chart; he was steady at $1 million, but recently, after week 11, his valuation went up from $1 million to $1.3 million. All thanks to his performance in the past few games.

So far this season, the QB has completed 71.8 per cent of his passes for 2410 yards, along with throwing 21 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Currently, the Hoosiers are on their bye week before they go on their final adventure against Ohio State next week. But the Heisman is not the only race Kurtis Rourke might win; there are other prestigious awards as well, waiting for Curt Cignetti’s QB’s next move.

One such award is the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which is given to the NCAA’s top senior quarterback who will be graduating their class. And our boy has just been listed among the top five finalists who’re running in the race. He’s standing among college football’s top quarterbacks, such as Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, The Hurricanes’ Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss, and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, to win the title. Besides that, let’s learn which other awards Kurtis Rourke is likely to win after they finish this season.

Awards pile up at Kurtis Rourke’s doorstep

Kurtis is having a monster season, and the Maxwell football club is laying an eye on it. Now, the Hoosiers quarterback has been named a semifinalist for both the Maxwell and Davey O’Brien awards, making him one of the top 16 players in the nation right now.

On top of that, his 21-touchdown record is the second most scored in the Big Ten and top-12 in the nation. Apart from that, if you need more proof of his dominance, the QB’s single-season numbers are already reaching IU’s all-time charts. His four-interception ratio is the fewest among the top five quarterbacks right now.

In addition to that, Rourke also sets records left and right. He is the first Big Ten quarterback since 2000 to throw for 250+ yards along with three touchdowns during his first three conference games! Not only that, Kurtis Rourke was named Big Ten Player of the Week twice and he has won the Manning Award for quarterback of the week after an over-the-top performance against UCLA. Well, now do you understand the hype?
