Get ready for Saturday night! The No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels will host the Georgia Southern Eagles in Oxford at 6:45 p.m. CT on September 21. The Rebels are looking to keep their momentum going after a dominant start to the season, outscoring their opponents 168-9 in their first three games. This makes them the first SEC team to score over 150 points and allow fewer than 10 points in a 3-0 start.

Georgia Southern isn’t to be underestimated, though. After back-to-back wins against South Carolina State and Nevada, they sit at 2-1. Their only loss was a high-scoring 56-45 game against Boise State, thanks largely to standout running back Ashton Jeanty. This game is Ole Miss’s final non-conference matchup of the season, and with the home-field advantage at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the competition is sure to heat up.

This season, you’ll hear the Ole Miss Rebels games on SEC Network, called by the dynamic duo of Tom Hart and Jordan Rodgers. Tom Hart, a seasoned sportscaster, has been passionate about commentary since his early days. He got his start as a field reporter for the Atlanta Braves before joining ESPN as a television announcer.

Jordan Rodgers, on the other hand, brings a unique perspective to the booth. A former professional football player, he quarterbacked for the University of Butte and played a key role in Vanderbilt’s SEC record. Now, he combines his playing experience with his natural charisma as a sports commentator and television personality.

And with the Eagles being the underdog, this game promises to be a thrilling one to watch!

Ole Miss vs. GA Southern Eagles: a matchup to watch

In Week 3 of college football, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons fell to the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels by 40 points, despite some bumps along the way. Quarterback Jaxson Dart has been on fire this season, throwing for over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns in just three games. Even running back Henry Parrish Jr. has also been a standout performer, making the Rebels’ offense quite a formidable force.

On the other side, the Georgia Southern Eagles have their own stars, like Adrian Peterson and Jerick McKinnon, so this matchup is bound to be intense. Even Eagles DB Cam Williams is optimistic about the game, saying, “They’re going to score, we’re going to score. We’re going to make mistakes, they might make mistakes,” showing the Eagles are ready to challenge the Rebels.
