Every single outfit Nick Saban pulled out for College GameDay last week was EPIC. He cosplayed as the Undertaker and Indiana Jones back to back. So, somewhere, all Nick Saban fans knew that this was gonna start up some good memes, and comedian Shane Gillis was the first to stick when the iron was hot. “I don’t think the SEC paid player, ever… Is this not a fun show? Alabama Jones is very serious,” and there you go. Nick Saban? Nope. It’s Alabama Jones now. Gillis better trademark this right now!! See, Nick couldn’t fire back with something good on GameDay. Them old bones need some time to cook up an epic comeback, and we might finally have it.

“My daughter, Kristen, loves him. So, that’s kinda, soothe the soul a little bit that somebody in the family likes the guy,” Saban threw in a sneaky jab while talking about the scene back on The Pat McAfee show. But wait, is the former HC even winning the competition? Cause at the end of the day, Kristen Saban still enjoys Shane Gillis. “At least one of us likes you,” Kristen quickly pointed out on her Instagram story while sharing the clip from the show.

Picking Shane for that Notre Dame vs. Indiana episode was one of the best ideas ESPN has had in a long, long time. Even Kristen was all in for the idea. “This brings me joy,” she wrote. It’s no wonder she loves Gillis.

And also, who wouldn’t love a man who can dare to go against the great Nick Saban? We believe, under that strict and “demure” personality, there is an HC who loves a bit of fun. Do you remember what he said about playing in the cold?

“When I coached with the Cleveland Browns, that wind used to blow through that stadium… I know another place where that cold can hit you and go right through your soul,” show me one more HC who is this open about their past coaching experiences. Regardless, at least Gillis was right calling the former HC Alabama Jones cause he made a style statement on GameDay.
