Is Pat McAfee out of line for trolling a legend like Nick Saban? What do you think?

The absence of drama on College Gameday is highly improbable. Nick Saban and Pat McAfee seem to be in conflict after their jury discussion last Saturday. The situation became so intense that Kristen Saban, Nick’s daughter, stood by his side throughout the entire incident. This certainly fueled the controversy further. What exactly happened? Let’s get into it!

Week one of College Football is over. Nick Saban made his debut on College Football Day as an analyst. There was a panel discussion on the set of ESPN where famous media analyst Pat McAfee took a shot at Nick. Pat constantly makes him awkward by dancing in his seat and snapping his fingers at him. Today Kristen, Nick Saban’s daughter, took a jab at Pat’s uncalled behavior of trolling Nick Saban. She took IG and shared a story of Joey Mulinaro’s Saturday post saying “The quiet underclassmen showing up to the senior linebacker’s house party”. Kristen openly called out Pat for his unprofessional behavior towards Nick Saban.

Nick Saban looked annoyed throughout the panel discussion about McAfee’s behavior. The video went viral as Pat was all over Nick, making him uncomfortable and trolling him throughout the discussion. This was not it while discussing about the Boise State coach Dirk Koetter gaming techniques Nick said, “Dirk Koetter is one of the offensive coordinators, I always tried to hire at Alabama,” but could never get him to this Pat replied “That’s because you were spending all your money on your players, Coach,” which left Saban shocked for a moment. However, the whole incident received mixed reactions from fans, while some were on Saban’s side saying “The guy on the left needs to grow up a bit.” Whereas some took a jab at him, saying “Saban has no place on College Game Day. Too serious on Saturday morning!”  Even if Nick’s College Day debut seemed a bit off, his former team did a remarkable job on the field.

Alabama gave a remarkable performance under new head coach Kalen DeBoer. The team hit a solid milestone of 63-0 against Western Kentucky in their season opener. Kalen’s recruits and team alignment did wonders for the team. Running backs Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley displayed remarkable run plays throughout the match. Quarterback Jalen Milroe Milroe ended his gameplay with 7-for-9 passes for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. Surprisingly freshman Ryan Williams also added several touchdowns 55 yards, making a notable debut to Alabama.

Teams’ offensive line did wonders for them with players like RB Haynes and Jam Miller running the ball straight up for 85 yards and 39 yards in a single rush. Even after getting a lower rank in the preseason poll, the Crimson Tide made a phenomenal impression on the ground. All uncertainties came to an end with Alabama’s significant performance. The way Tides conducted themselves only fueled the excitement to witness their capabilities in the upcoming games.
