Kristen Saban has a special love for Boston, especially the electric atmosphere around North Station and TD Garden. Home to the Boston Celtics and Bruins, you can say, that its rich sports legacy and nonstop energy, is what make the moment more lively.

However, St. Patrick’s Day—March 17—is more than just a sea of green and lively parades. It honors St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, whose incredible journey shaped history. Well, born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at 16 by Irish raiders and enslaved in Ireland. But after 6 years in captivity, he escaped, and later returned as a missionary, helping to spread Christianity across Ireland. Thus, over time, March 17 became a tribute to his legacy, evolving into a worldwide celebration of Irish culture, heritage, and spirit.

While the world celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, Kristen Saban carries a quiet sorrow. For those who have loved and lost a pet, her grief is all too familiar. However, dogs have always been a special part of her life, a love that began in childhood with her family’s cherished companion, Ray Ray. And now, that bond ran deep, making Ray Ray’s passing an irreplaceable loss. Though time has passed, the memories remain. And for Kristen, her ‘first baby’ will always hold a special place in her heart.
