Ex-Alabama HC Nick Saban’s daughter Kristen lands in big trouble! No, this time it’s not about her getting into trouble for her cocky remarks to defend Crimson Tide or getting too carried away to flaunt dad Nick Saban on social media. But it looks like Kristen is having a tough time with time management with her son now that it’s daylight savings. Sadly, the GOAT’s grandson is yet to imbibe the energy that granddad Nick Saban is known for. But that didn’t hinder the strong bond that the first and third generations share!

Being Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen has always run high on energy. It’s still evident from her actions now. From keeping track of all sports and not just football, attending almost every event to support parents, Nick and Terry Saban, to trying her best to defend Alabama no matter how harsh the online criticism gets, Kristen has the power to manage everything in one go. And how could we forget that she is now the mother of two beautiful children—daughter Amelie and son James? Among the two siblings, it’s four-year-old James who is into sports. But sadly, the timing is not allowing him to be his best version on the field.

On November 3, Kristen Saban shared two stories on her IG. The first one showed James getting passed out on the couch as she sneakily clicked a selfie and captioned it as “Daylight savings is going well!!!” Yes, that’s how sarcastic Nick Saban’s daughter is. While the sole purpose of daylight savings is to make better use of the longer daylight available, James used that well by sleeping!

In the story that followed, Kristen had re-shared the post from another mom, whose son is probably James’ friend. It showed a clip from the soccer practice where the other kids were busy running on the field. But poor James and his friend! They got all tired and when the mom tried to cheer them up by saying, “Boys get into the game” James came running, “I wanna be out, I am out.” Well, that’s not something Nick Saban would be proud of, right?

Maybe James is too small to garner interest in sports. Because daylight savings did not get him tired when it came to decking up for Halloween and going door-to-door for the Trick or Treat expedition dressed up in a fancy costume. How cute James looked dressed up as one of the Ghostbusters! As Kristen’s son has yet to figure out his interest, he shares a great dynamic with his grandparents.

On the Next Round podcast back in June, Nick Saban’s daughter shared the details of the special bond. “He’s great with Jamie. I think it’s fun for him because I have a niece. She’s 10 years old, and she was the first grandchild and she was a girl.” That’s where the GOAT could connect more with his grandson. Kristen further stated, “But now that we have James, he’s the boy, and my dad can play T ball with him in the driveway and throw a ball with him and do kind of all the boy stuff.” While James is yet to find his love for football, looks like he is already liking the other sport that his granddad plays. 

Right after Nick Saban’s retirement, the ex-HC was spotted playing golf as James accompanied him to the course. But Kristen is already sure that her son would play for the NFL, as she had dropped hints before. Now let’s see which sport James picks!
