Nick Saban’s Daughter Kristen Celebrates National Elephant Appreciation Day With Adorable Tribute Alongside Her Little One

Their all-time favorite coach Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban’s a social media profile. Kristen can literally be called the Instagram Queen as she comes with every single update from the Tuscaloosa hood.  This September 22nd was indeed a special day for the Crimson Tide family as everyone came together to make their beloved Big Al, the elephant mascot, feel special. Meanwhile, Kristen is having a good time as she received an exclusive College GameDay picture from the crew.

The Alabama fans are already getting the jitters. Their fav Crimson Tide never had to stoop down in front of Kirby Smart and Georgia Bulldogs who come off as a strong program. But gone are those days. Now that Nick Saban is no longer the HC and it’s the first time for DeBoer, chances are there that things might get tough. But Saban’s daughter Kristen marks herself safe from all the negative thoughts. Instead, she indulges in a celebration in honor of their favorite Al.

Having a bad day? Take a glimpse at Crimson Tide’s elephant mascot “Al” whose name is derived from the first two letters of the program name. Kristen shared a picture of herself and her son James posing with Al and wrote, “It’s National Elephant Appreciation Day! We ❤️ you, @ua_big_al.”

The Alabama football team has a massive Instagram following of 1.3 million fans. Just like Kristen, many others are die-hard Al fans since the mascot’s Instagram fan following is not that bad as he now has 91.7K followers. Al’s Instagram is quite proof of the unconditional love and support the Bama fans have for their beloved elephant mascot. It’s like every day is “Elephant Appreciation Day” on Big Al’s feed! But do you know there is an interesting story behind Alabama’s elephant mascot? 

Back in October 1930, Alabama faced Ole Miss when something very thrilling took place. An Atlanta sports reporter gave an insight from the gripping experience, “At the end of the quarter, the earth started to tremble, there was a distant rumble that continued to grow. Some excited fan in the stands bellowed, ‘Hold your horses, the elephants are coming,’ and out stamped this Alabama varsity.” But it was much later that Big Al made his first appearance during the 1979 season under Coach Bear Bryant. Meanwhile, celebrating Al’s legacy is not the only way Kristen is enjoying herself amidst the stressful scenario.

Kristen Saban finds joy in little things 

We already know how the college football world went gaga over Pat McAfee feeding Nick Saban a tomahawk steak on his first season appearance on College GameDay. While the fans were already going gaga over the collab, Kristen thought of making their excitement 10x more. As Saban and McAfee belong to two different personalities, she made use of it leaving the fans in a laughing riot. She shared a meme where Kristen tagged the man in a serious mood driving the car as Saban and his passenger the woman vibing with high energy as McAfee. Kristen never fails to impress with her creativity, lol!

Saban’s daughter has also bonded so well with his father’s co-host that she now gets small updates from the set. This time it was Kirk Herbstreit who sent her the picture of his dog Ben which she later re-shared on her IG story with the caption, “When Ter sends pics from Oklahoma of Ben @kirkherbstreit.” Right now, Nick Saban’s daughter is soaking only in good juju.
