Some moments refuse to fade, and Jalen Hurts’ run is one of them. Now picture this: the Eagles take down the Chiefs, snapping their two-season Super Bowl streak, and the locker room erupts. The air is buzzing with victory, and then, with a click, a single shot captures history. Hurts doesn’t just win; he completely owns the moment. And on a night filled with significant moments, such as Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl act, Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban, didn’t hold back. She fired back with a stern response.

Well, Kendrick Lamar took the Super Bowl Halftime Show and transformed it into a full-blown tribute to Compton. He didn’t just perform; he went all out, bringing SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard onstage for a spectacle that captivated the world. The stage design, with its American flag color palette, heavily featured tracks from his recently released album GNX, along with a few lesser-known gems for his dedicated fans.

While opinions always vary after a halftime show, Kristen Saban had no doubts. She expressed her approval on her IG story, stating, “You’re crazy if you didn’t enjoy this performance. It’s a lyrical masterpiece.” There’s no debate there—Lamar once again proved why he reigns at the top of the rap game, effortlessly blending storytelling with raw energy.

But the real question on everyone’s mind leading up to the night was: would he perform “Not Like Us,” the song where he throws serious allegations at Drake on the world’s biggest stage? Why wouldn’t he? “Not Like Us” dominated the charts in 2024, continued its reign into 2025, and recently swept the Grammys, winning five awards, including Song and Record of the Year. If there was ever a moment to assert himself, this was it.

However, this wasn’t Lamar’s first time at the Super Bowl. He had already made his mark in 2022, sharing the stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak in a legendary mash-up of hip-hop’s past and present. This time, however, he gave a memorable performance, solidifying his legacy. But that wasn’t the only thing that overwhelmed Kristen!

After the Eagles’ dominant 55-23 win over the Commanders, punching their ticket to a second Super Bowl in three years, Jalen Hurts lit up a victory cig-r, and the moment was pure gold. Kristen Saban couldn’t help but fangirl, posting it with the caption, “Hang it in the Louvre.” Now that Hurts and the Eagles clinched the Super Bowl, she doubled down on the hype, sharing an IG story of him holding the trophy, complete with happy crying emojis.

And she didn’t stop there. Kristen further expressed her support by posting another story of Hurts celebrating, simply captioned: “HIM.” It’s hard to argue with her when Hurts just put in a diabolical performance with all that pressure, completing 17-of-22 passes (77.3%) for 221 yards, 2 tuddies, and a 119.7 rating. He also rushed for 72 yards and scored a touchdown, setting a new record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in Super Bowl history. It’s no surprise that he became the 34th quarterback to win the Super Bowl MVP award.

Well, people love picking apart Hurts’ passing game, but every improvement you see today traces back to the guy who had his back from the start. Back in 2017. Hurts was the star at Alabama, while Saban pushed him hard and refused to let him take any shortcuts. Saban himself summed it up perfectly. “I think the one thing. And this is every athletic quarterback. When Jalen was with us, I would say, ‘You cannot run; you cannot scramble. You have to throw the ba-l on time.” That’s why people respect Hurts so much. No wonder he brought a title to Philly.
