What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear Josh Pate? The man who takes up the host seat at the College Football Show podcast. As soon as he takes the seat, he immediately switches into his role as the analyst. Among college football fans, he by now has garnered enough love for his compact yet intricate analysis. If you’re a college football fan, you should be watching Late Kick with Josh Pate on YouTube. However, right at this moment, Pate is busy celebrating a big milestone. No, not in his professional life, but in his personal life. And guess who is the happiest? It’s none other than GOAT Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban. Well, Kristen has her reasons to celebrate Pate’s big moment.

Before there was a Late Kick show or even a flicker of hope in his professional life, 35-year-old Pate was lost in his complacency. Having grown up in a Church of Christ in Georgia, he fought the small-town mindset, writing a classic success story of hard work, laser focus and a lot of trial and error.’ After all, he always had that far-sightedness. Today, Josh Pate’s College Football Show has a big following of 354,000 subscribers. But this is not the right time to focus on Pate’s rags-to-riches story. He is all set to step into an important chapter of his life.

On April 3, he took to his knee and blurted out the magical words to his lady love, Savannah French. In the picture posted, Pate is seen carrying French on his shoulder as she proudly flaunted her ring finger with the shiny solitaire. The caption is surely going to make you go ‘Awww.’ Just like it did to Saban’s daughter Kristen. The caption read, “I have secured my five star. No fall wedding.” As the CFB fans started to pour in their love in the comment section, one comment stood out.

That was none other than Kristen’s as she wrote, “👏👏👏👏❤️.” Now, what makes Saban’s daughter so happy with Pate’s announcement? That’s because Kristen must be sharing some close bond with French. Just like her fiance, French is a famous personality when it comes to college football. She was the Director of Football Operations/Recruiting Coordinator at Jones County Junior college. The 2014 graduate of Southern Miss holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a Minor in Sports Broadcast Journalism. Back in 2018, she was recruited to Kristen’s father’s program as the football marketing coordinator.

Kristen Saban is fighting against a big void

Well, Kristen has always been the heart of every party. She has been dad Nick Saban’s biggest supporter. The 34-year-old turned heads with her gorgeous look at the ESPY awards, cheering for her dad. For 14 years, Gunner wasn’t just a pet. However, the universe had different plans. Kristen lost Gunner on November 24 last year. So, more than five months have passed since her favorite pet’s demise. But Kristen still hoards the fond memories close to her heart. On March 10, Saban’s daughter shared one of her heartfelt pictures on her IG story. The picture captured Gunner peacefully resting on Kristen’s lap.

The caption says how she still feels a void. “Oh how I miss you 🖤” After all, Gunner will always be Kristen’s favorite child. “I couldn’t have asked for a better pup. I’ll miss you forever, Gunnies.” Nick Saban’s daughter also happened to be very fond of Kirk Herbstreit’s golden retriever – Ben. Unfortunately, just a few days before losing Gunner, Ben, too, passed away on November 7, 2024, after fighting cancer. Kristen’s social media tells a story of resilience, proving that Kristen Saban is healing on her own terms.
