Can Alabama's recent wins propel them past Penn State, or will Kristen's new team reign supreme?

Nick Saban can find himself in a pickle with this one. See, Bama is having quite the year. 4 back to back explosive games and even a blowout win against Georgia at 41-34. Nick Saban was a happy man. But then games the Vandy, SC, and Vols. And well, for Nick Saban and Bama fans, it wasn’t a good time. However, this has changed. The team is on a massive 2 win streak. First was Mizzou, where Kalen DeBoer and Co. managed to push the team to the edge and grabbed a massive 34-0 win. Then came the spectacle of a game against LSU. Brian Kelly was sweating out there watching Bama lock in and stop the Tigers at only 6 points in 3 different quarters.

Times are changing for Nick Saban and well, now the last thing you want right now is to watch your daughter switch her alliance. Back on Instagram, Kristen Saban took to her story to share a video in a Penn State Nittany Lions onesie. “If you were wondering where Nick’s gameday birthday gift went, I have it. Um, I’m never giving it back, it’s the softest thing I have ever put on,” Kristen mentioned in the video. About a week ago, during the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes showdown, Saban got that onesie as a belated birthday gift. He even wore it during ESPN College GameDay and looked amazing in it.

Fun fact: Saban has faced off against the Lions 7 times. With 4 wins over Penn State, Bama still has a lead. And how can we forget the two home game wins out of the 4 as well? Do you know what would be an epic blast this season? Bama facing off against Penn State.

Right now, the Nittany Lions are standing in the 4th spot on the Week 11 CFP list. Their only loss in their season has been against the Buckeyes. While Penn State fans might say that this could’ve been a win, you still cannot change the past anymore.

Bama, on the other hand, is down at the 10th spot. It is kind of wild that the Big 10 teams are dominating this year while almost every SEC team is sitting down with at least 2-3 losses under their belt. Coming back to the point, while Penn State has their ticket secured, can Nick’s former team seal the deal, or will Kristen’s new love edge past them?

As we had previously pointed out, the Crimson Tide had one of the best start to the 2024 season. Across 4 games, they were averaging 40 points in each. Even against the Dawgs, Bama managed to go 21-0 in the first quarter itself. The Tide defense easily managed to hold back Kirby Smart and his boys.

However, then everything took a bad turn. The downfall started with QB Jalen Milroe‘s depreciating performance. This dude went from a 70+ completion rate to barely touching 55+ by the time Bama faced off against Vols. None of the throws or passes were working out, and Kalen DeBoer’s offensive mastery was falling apart.

They needed something to bounce back from, and LSU was the perfect target. See, Kelly and Co. have never lost a game held during the night. And for Bama? they had never lost a game coming out of the bye-week. The stakes were high, but the moment the clock started counting down, Milroe and the boys showed everyone exactly what they were doing during the by-week.

This guy turned into a WR in that showdown. With 0 passing touchdowns but 4 rushing touchdowns. The entire game was wild. DeBoer’s offense was back online and Kane Wommack’s D-line was doing magic. Despite being ahead in that game, they still didn’t lose focus and barely allowed the Tigers to run the football. If they keep this same pace, then we will surely see Bama in the playoffs.
