There’s something frisky about the way Nick Saban is at Alabama vs. Georgia halftime at Bryant-Denny Stadium! He wasn’t just a head coach at Alabama; he was the head coach who won them six national championships in 17 years! So when his new job as an ESPN College GameDay analyst gave him the chance to analyze his former team under new HC Kalen DeBoer, he basked in Alabama’s glory with a little taunt to Kirby Smart.
Nick Saban’s presence at Tuscaloosa on September 29 as part of ESPN was honored by Jalen Milroe. Although the former HC can’t publicly root for his team over Georgia, the witty genius couldn’t help but concoct a little snub on Kirby Smart’s program with Milroe’s performance. After Alabama dominated Georgia 30-7 at halftime, Saban rubbed salt on the Bulldogs’ performance as posted by ESPN on X saying, “Jalen Milroe had more yards himself than the entire Georgia team.”

Surprisingly for Georgia who ranks No. 2 in college football, that’s a fact. The Bulldogs entered Saturday’s game as the only team that hasn’t allowed a single touchdown. But the game with Alabama exposed their shortcomings as the Crimson Tide displayed enviable talent right from the first quarter.
Replacing the GOAT coach, Kalen DeBoer has proved his football genius as his team remains undefeated and unbeatable. Alabama scored three touchdowns in the first quarter alone leading to a 21-0 lead by the end of the quarter. By halftime, Carson Beck and the Dawgs only racked up 153 total yards which didn’t even tally up to Jalen Milroe’s individual stat where he secured 199 passing yards and 106 rushing yards. This brings us back to Saban’s troll and fans laughing over it.
Fans react to Nick Saban’s casual dig at Georgia
The first half is nothing but a game of dominance as Georgia found themselves in a brutal reality blow against Alabama. Needless to say, this dominance had Nick Saban in high spirits as a fan commented, “Happiest I’ve ever seen Saban.” Yes, Saban is trying to maintain a straight face but happiness doesn’t hide.

Another fan commented along the same lines. They wrote, “He is STRUGGLING tryna keep it fair x not root for Bama lol.” Saban is known for his fair nature and his Alabama support is only fair as they’re clearly winning the game.
Still, dominating one of the top CFB teams in this manner is something to celebrate. A fan observed, “You can taste the salt in his voice.” Saban may have left a crazy experience behind when he retired, but he’s still a Crimson Tide at heart.
Another fan speculated what Nick Saban would be thinking when he said that. They wrote, “‘I recruited that of course they are balling out on UGA’ – Saban probably.” With the success they’re enjoying so far this season, has Nick Saban ever regretted his decision to retire?

One fan hilariously cooked up Nick Saban’s possible regret writing, “He must be kicking himself for leaving a season too early!” But truly, with or without Nick Saban, Alabama has clung on to their winning culture under an able coach in Kalen DeBoer and explosive QB in Jalen Milroe.
