Everyone’s looking forward to September 28th! After all, this will be the first time that Georgia Bulldogs will be facing Alabama Crimson Tide without Nick Saban. Like with every match it’s crucial for new HC Kalen DeBoer to prove himself, it’s somewhat of a challenge for Bulldogs HC Kirby Smart too. Why though? After all, Smart bears the Saban touch since he owes it to the GOAT for implanting the coaching seeds within him.

Now that Saban has parted ways with the Crimson Tide, it makes Smart be the center of attraction being the strongest HC. He carries the burden to emerge as the best, “Nick Saban problem” you know! Word on the street is, a VIP’s coming to see Smart’s team crush Alabama.

Not much time left for Bryant-Denny Stadium to deck up for hosting one of the most-awaited fights, No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs vs. No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide. Before the war bell rings, it’s important for Georgia fans to know about what’s going on inside their HC Smart’s mind. In a conversation with Cover Crimson, host Clint Ramb came up with an interesting issue that Smart might be dealing with. The host raised, “If you lose this game after Nick Saban…the narrative shifts from Kirby Smart having a Nick Saban problem to Kirby Smart having an Alabama problem.”

Smart owes a lot to the GOAT since it was Saban who could see the talent in the now Bulldogs HC and hired him as the assistant coach for Crimson Tide in 2007 which Smart continued till 2015. Lucky for Smart! Well, not everyone is Saban-trained. However, this training costs him hard since now that the ex-Alabama HC is gone, he is the only one who bears the burden of the Saban legacy.

So in case he loses against the DeBoer’s program, his problem will shift from living up to Saban’s status to living up to Alabama’s status which is now free of the GOAT. However, Smart seems to be soaring high with confidence based on his QB advantage.

Kirby Smart’s lofty expectations for his fav QB

Even though the Crimson Tide is really happy with their QB Jalen Milroe, Smart came up with an interesting take. As highlighted by the Georgia HC, things do not look that good in the Tuscaloosa hood who struggled against South Florida failing to make use of their mediocrity. Besides, what might stand out during Saturday’s game is the QB show.

“Bama also hasn’t played in the elite quarterback,” claimed Smart. On the other hand, the HC could not help but gush about the Georgia QB Carson Beck who is  “going to be by far the best quarterback that they [Alabama] have matched up against.” However, the Bulldogs need to hold on a bit. Things are going to be a bit tough for their QB hero who is dealing with an AC joint sprain. As the Georgia vs. Alabama plot thickens, here comes a big surprise.

On September 28, the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump will be gracing the stadium. He has been a regular face in the Alabama vs. Georgia face-off and was there in person for the 2018 National Championship game. But the president left at halftime only to find out Tua Tagovailoa turned on the magic. Let’s see if the Republican candidate sticks around this time for what could be the biggest showdown of the CFB season.
