Does Nick Saban's success as an analyst prove he's the GOAT in both coaching and broadcasting?

Nick Saban’s hater count is almost as low as his loss count. He is called the GOAT for a reason. Even though he has given up on his role as the Alabama Crimson Tide HC, his fans are still soaking in his greatness. This time it’s College Game Day host, Rece Davis who was on a Saban admiration spree. As expected, the ex-Alabama HC flourished in his first post-retirement gig as the analyst with flying colors. While Saban aces in every new role he is assigned, his mobile phone gave him a tough time!

Saban’s 17-long season journey came to an end in February this year. However, his journey with college football is all set to continue in a unique way. The 72-year-old former Alabama HC will serve as an analyst on ESPN’s College GameDay. And here Davis hit the jackpot by having Saban as his work buddy. On August 31, he faced the media, speaking about how it’s an honor to share the platform with the GOAT. The co-host had an endless supply of Saban compliments as he went on,  “Well, he is so smart, he is a brilliant communicator. He can take very complex ideas and makes the bunch stand out. He does have football context, he does have leadership context.”

Nick Saban’s misadventures with mobile camera

Saban had recently been featured in a light-hearted commercial for Home Depot. The commercial also had ESPN’s College GameDay crew including host Rece Davis. And guess what? Other than facing the video camera, the ex-Crimson Tide HC had the chance to refine mobile camera skills. As the fun side of Saban comes up, it’s evident that the GOAT is yet to ward off the technological challenges. But not to worry. After all, it’s Saban who picks up new tricks very fast.

On the other, his spirits were high to have had fellow coaches- Mike Norvell and Brent Key as the guests.
