The college football world just doesn’t know how to take a chill pill. The 2024 season has just kicked off but the discussions are already about the 2025 NFL draft. And no brownie points for guessing who is reeling in the most attention. Had to be the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders. The Shedeur craze has been real as NFL scouts too are rooting for Deion Sanders’ son. But mind you. It’s college football. Anything can happen at any minute. As Shedeur is believed to be shaking hands with Mark Davis, what if it backfires? Not to worry, the Las Vegas insider has got it covered keeping another big shot in the line. In case Shedeur opts out of the Raiders commitment, what’s next for him? A CFB analyst has set out a plan for the QB. 

Shedeur might have had a rocky start at the beginning of the season getting badly thrashed by Nebraska who came with five sacks, but it did not take him much time to be back on his foot. And this time a lot stronger. His grand show despite the leaky offensive line is worth all the hype. So much so that the Las Vegas owner had dropped a major hint while talking to Shedeur post the WNBA playoffs. “Who knows? You might be home right now,” teased Davis. Right after that, Ryan Sakamoto, the NFL analyst dropped in with a tweet, “Hearing Raiders doing a lot of homework on QBs in this upcoming draft.”

Going by the trend, the Raiders are likely to target players in free agency. And chances reign supreme for Davis and Co. to miss out on the Buffs QB. What will happen in that case? Sakamoto came in with a plan B as he does not only pin his hopes on Deion’s son, “Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Milroe are top 2 names to keep an eye on if QB is the play in R1.” 

Going by Pete Thamels’ insights out of the 20 NFL scouts, Shedeur got 9 votes and 4 votes went to the Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. But what makes the insider drop another option? Does that mean Shedeur has a plan B ready?  

Why Shedeur Sanders could be the solution to Browns’ QB quandary

Shedeur had already slipped into the blacklist after his substandard performance against the Huskers. It did cost him hard since the mock drafts too snipped his name from the list. But not anymore. He has got back his lost vigor. The magical Hail Mary pass against Baylor made it easy for him to swoop the scouts off their feet. But before that, it was Yahoo Sports writer Charles McDonald who had a suggestion for the Buffs QB. 

“Deshaun is unplayable…Shedeur gets to go in his footsteps and say. ‘I’m the new face of the Browns,’” claimed McDonald. The Cleveland Browns are in a tough spot already struggling with 1-3 after losing to the Las Vegas Raiders in a close call. Plus, the QB situation is too messy with Deshaun Watson missing 21 out of a possible 27 games. 

And what makes Shedeur Sanders the perfect fit? Definitely has to be his impressive stats. The Buffs QB carries a record  70.1 percent of his pass attempts this season along with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions.
