Can Michigan's relentless pursuit of Bryce Underwood actually flip his commitment from LSU?

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Michigan Wolverines head coach Desperation to get the commitment of Belleville’s quarterback Bryce Underwood has taken another turn. There is a possibility that Michigan might succeed in recruiting Bryce. Isn’t that surprising? Intense rumors are circulating that Belleville’s recent decision to hire Connor Stalions as part of their coaching staff could potentially sway Underwood’s choice. Let’s find out what the head coach of the school has to say about this entire situation.

On the November 12th recent episode of the Click On Detroit Belleville, head coach DeJuan Rogers addresses the entire rumor fuming around Connor Stalions could help Michigan flip 5-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, saying, “Connor has no dealings with that. He’s here strictly because I needed someone that can come over and be an asset to the program, and that was a guy that was recommended by someone that I trust, you know. So with all the rumors and the things speculating about him being here to help flip Bryce, you know, those are not true.” It’s pretty clear from Rogers’ statement that Stalions presence in the team doesn’t affect Bryce’s commitment.

Well, it looks like Connor Stalions’ presence can also not do any good for Sherrone Moore and the team. But the intensity of the narrative of flipping Bryce Underwood’s pledge is staggering; it’s not surprising knowing the fact that Connor was a former Michigan staffer, and he was also involved in their signing scandal. Whether it’s right or wrong, Connor Stalions will somehow always get tied to the things going around the program.

However, this could be a chance for Connor Stalions redemption, as he is going to start a new journey in his career. According to CBS Sports, Connor is going to be an assistant coach for the team, and knowing the fact that Belleville is among the top-ranked high- schools, it’s only going to add value to his career. And his connection with Michigan is the eye-catching part, but it looks like head coach Rogers was right when he said Connor has nothing to do with Bryce Underwood’s commitment.

Is Bryce Underwood going to stay with the Tigers?

Who doesn’t want a player who is ranked No. 1 among the overall prospects for the class of 2025 and also a No. 1 quarterback in the nation? That’s the reason Michigan and the Tigers are the top teams fighting for Bryce Underwood’s commitment since the start of the season. Even though Bryce has already pledged to the LSU Tigers in January, Sherrone Moore is aggressively pursuing him to join the Michigan program. The rumors are a live example of it. However, Bryce Underwood’s recent visit to the LSU Tigers game against Alabama did shatter hopes. It looks like 10 million NIL deals are working out well for Michigan.

Even recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman also highlighted the same thing, mentioning that Bryce Underwood will stick to the LSU Tigers after visiting their game. Sam said, “There is a strong sense that Bryce Underwood will sign with LSU in a few weeks. After returning to Baton Rouge this weekend, the expectation is that Underwood will be a Tiger.” This is not a good sign for Moore and the team. But if it’s true, it’s going to be a smart move knowing Tigers’ history with the quarterbacks. (Jayden Daniels). Now let’s see which team Bryce will finally get in.
